SURPRISE, HIM AGAIN!
So I'm XPing on WAR with my friend Jujutsu...we're having fun, randomly mowing down stuff in Bibiki in our party. BLM hasto go, so we're sift through the people seeking when Juj decides, hey, maybe if we get a Thief it'd be easier for the NIN to keep hate off me! Seems like a good plan, so he gets the Thief.
Enter Redfield, our heroic Thief. A cheerful lad donning a scorpion harness and RSE feet, along with those neat STR/AGI and DEX/VIT combination rings. Merman earrings, quite nice. He even pops HQ sushi...the man really goes out of his way to guaruntee he has the best his job can use, I'm virtually honored to party with someone who takes their job with such pride!
But all is not well in Carealot, oh no. In spite of what seems to be a quite serious player, he has perched in his scruffy hair, a...reraise hairpin? Oh, he must be just using it to have RR up at all times. But wait....no. He's meleeing in it. I jokingly send him a tell, saying how he forgot to change his headpiece. No reply.
More baffling, his TAs seem to not effect the mobs' desire to molest me at all. I check the log - SAs for 140. TAs for 10. I figured that perhaps he just missed them, and wait a bit longer...the disappointment continues. His normal hits fail to break 10 damage even with acid bolts, and they only manage to hover in the 10s even when the Catoblepas have berserk up. To make matters worse, in the middle of the party he steals->mugs->hides from a goblin, which proceeds to charge the nearby resting mages. Confusion ensues, we wind up wiping. Oh well.
I shrug off the act of stupidity and go back to questioning why his damage was so horrific. I recheck him - stun knives. Doesn't seem too bad, but just because, I send him a tell asking why he doesn't use a Hoplite's for the extra 10 base damage, or offhand a Garuda's for the agi/att since it's hardly less DoT overall. No response.
Party continues for roughly thirty minutes before Juj gets fed up and simply suggest Redfield tries to SA Dancing Edge instead, to see if it's better damage. Redfield replies, "How bout u worry about urself", to which Juj replies he's the leader - he's worrying for the sake of the entire party.
Lo and behold, the very next pull, Redfield DCs. Shock and awe. Seriously. Wait, wait, gimme a minute, I can do better than that.

I'm shocked and surprised! *shocked and surprised* ;~;
Party places bets that he force-DCed like a piece of sh-!t. To our amazement, he logs back on. Were we wrong? Should we apologize? We're about to feel somewhat bad, but then comes quite possibly the most shi-!ttily executed lie I've ever seen: "I'm sorry guys, my connections being really crappy so I gtg". He runs up and steals/mugs/hides from a goblin then warp cudgels out, instantly flagging to seek party. Way to go, dumbass.
To sum up this little vent, rather, as to why I'm making this - his damage was beyond pathetic. He refused to take any and all advice on how to easily increase his damage H.Harpe is levels better than a Stun knife, and literally 1/16th the price...), but what truly got to me - he pulled one of the worst fake-DC/gtgs I've seen since I've started the game, and all because he was asked to do a different WS.
May god have mercy on whoever just invited his whiny ass...
To those of you who say I overreact and post too hastily, Jujutsu can back me up on this - this guy's garbage on a legendary level. He parsed at 1/3 Jujutsu's average DoT and that's not even counting his pet.
