So as some of you may know from my rant the other day, I got hacked. I talked to POL today, got my account verified and I changed my password; the dipshit didn't even change my information so I verified with flying colors..no notary needed.

I log back in, notice a LOT of my gear is missing. Possibly more than one mule; but I only found out of one possible culprit.

This might be a complete coincidence..but look at all that gear sold on the same day. Not to mention those were MY items.

If this is a legit player please let me know, but I highly fuckin' doubt it.

In the process of doing account recovery atm. Just figure I'd put this out there also:

Put a STF inquiry in on this guy. Not sure how far it'll go..but at least I did my part. I'd definately say it's RMT-related.

I understand that. Just wish I wasn't in this position to begin with. Have to wait a full week for the account to be restored and it's just a big fuckin' hassle. Oh well, at least I didn't need to get a notary to clear my name.
 
How did this happen though, I mean did you get hacked as in you knew this guy, or what?

Tbh I don't know. I don't even know this fool. If I had to guess maybe it was an FFXI site I was visiting that had a keylogger built into it.

No, but believe me after this I will. Found out someone was going to forums and trying to sell my account. Guess that is what the fool was doing with it.

Anyway, good that the OP got his char back so quickly! Everybody should get a security token and use it, can never be too careful.

even with Token, isn't 100% safe from being hacked.

I just becareful on what site you go to, and don't just give out your account info to stranger or even online friends
