I <3 when the cows there go 'zerk. They're soft in the first place, but the defense down makes it so much more fun. Was the 7-8k ringless?
 
Another thing I've noticed is alot of people will want to go to EXP camps too early. Fighting a mob that gives like 230-250 no chain or EXP Bonus(Snaction or Ring) and say this is awesome EXP.....from my past experience with EXP'ing a good IT mobs will yield about 170-190 a kill, no chain. any higher is TOO HIGH.

Yes sir. Twas a fun party. Started out 5-6k an hr then a couple people dinged and the 71 THF d/ced so we replaced with a 70 MNK and kill speed went up considerably.
 
Heh, just got the Astral Candescence back this morning and I'm still thinking about taking my next EXP PT on DRK to either The Boyahda Tree or Ru'Aun Gardens. I'd prefer to fight somethign I can keep my Coeurl Subs on for their full duration. >_>;

That type of setup was so much more fun. Too bad trying to get a party to go to Bibiki is almost impossible now. I'm really glad I had blm nearly to 75 before ToAU.

Before Otak got hacked, he invited my BLM60 to a party in Aydeewa (lolAU area) -- we were on the Puktraps and Crawlers in the big room, and our setup was like...

I ripped off a 1268 Freeze MB from Dancing Edge+Penta Thrust with using NQ melon pies, on Firesday. It made me very, very happy to be a Black Mage. Can't remember if I was using my Black Cotehardie+Petasos or Shaman's Cloak.
 
This is kinda an old grudge.. my view is look, if you get six people together and express that certain areas are being camped, or there's a BLM in the group - party members will look to other xp spots. As you said, people want xp - if you get a BLM or you ARE a BLM, make your own party and go somewhere BLM friendly. It's not that difficult. It's highly unlikely that after getting a full party together and mention "btw we're going to the Boyhada Tree to xp" or Labrynth of Onzozo etc that anyone will be stubborn enough to leave based on where you're going. XP is XP and that is the majority of people's mindset when they join an XP party, so bitching about people wanting to xp in ToAU areas is stupid because frankly, there are good xp spots there, if not better than non-ToAU zones (unless you're a BLM).

And this complaint about skillchains?? wtf ya'll have keyboards learn to use em and if you're the leader and ppl can't follow simple instructions like #1 use this WS #2 use that WS #3 burst with this spell then find a replacement or bitch and moan until they listen!!

I don't quite get what you mean. Are you saying BLMs are stupid for bitching about those who want to exp in ToAU areas, simply because the party members will accept other areas?

That's horseshit. Twice last week, prior to leaving Whitegate for ANY party, or even to getting a 6th member, my PT leader was told "just ditch the Black Mage and get X job. Black Mages are useless."

While I agree that yeah, exp is exp, not *everyone* looks at it that way.

Call me weird, but when I EXP I like mobs with a bit of flavor to them. Pretty much the same when I merit. Main healing at Greater Colibri's is so boring it puts me to sleep......Protectra > Haste Cycle > Cure > Cure > Cure > Cure.......it takes absolutely no thought at all. Mamools on there other hand you need to stay on top of or you will get overwhelmed. Between keeping the mages silenced, lurkers dia'd, watching for firespit, helping sleep when needed, and keeping your MP up, it's a constant battle of wits.

I love the torama camp it is awesome, but people are just too lazy and unwilling to try things outside of ToAU, It really sucks sometimes, and even when u try to lead youll have atleast 1-2 people saying "Bla bla ToAU is bettter" Fuck it.
