Religous Propaganda...

Sweet sacrilege, Batman!

Well...comic books usually ARE about fictional characters in fictional situations...

Does it bother anyone else that chick.com.. what should be an obvious porn site is being controlled by a religious publication website. What a bunch of assholes.

I'm a long-time collector of Chick tracts. They're pretty awesome in a crazy nutjob kind of way.

Well, considering that the man's name is Jack Chick..

yeah.

Stine used to have a collection of these things, and I used to set em on fire for shits and giggles when I'd find them laying about in inobtrusive places at my last place of work (I'd set them on fire after work, of course).

The only bright side to it is that while they (Chick Publications) keeps buying paper to print his shit on, and I set them on fire, causing his company to buy more paper, he's supporting my employer's business, allowing me to stay in a job at least one more day lol.

The cycle of business...accelerated by fire. lol awesome

Chick has a tract called "Big Daddy?" which attempts to debunk evolution (and fails miserably). I give him credit for updating it with all-new attacks, but it's still a fun load of garbage.

I hadn't been to the site in ages, so I was amused to see some of them had been "adapted for black audiences." I guess he finally realized it's not just white folk who need the healing light of Jesus in their life.

I remember going to a horse show at a county fair and finding one about Hallowe'en and Satan. I also read the one about Dungeons and Dragons. Good times.

In light of Halifrien's comment, I recall the one comic about HIV/AIDS in Africa. I love how the white doctor treating the patients has HIV/AIDS but he contracted it by 'mishandling infected blood' and not unprotected sex. Cuz you know, a white doctor could never make that kind of mistake.
