About this being a civil discussion, it's getting there but not quite there. Someone still accused me of trying to derail this early on when that was clearly an overreaction. I believe I was directly called pathetic by Mr. Pants there, which certainly won't fly now.

Hmmm, well you are pathetic, and I am allowed to call a spade a spade.
On one hand I am sitting here calling you pathetic. Maybe that's uncalled for, but if you take a step back and consider the context in which I called you pathetic, you'll see that it makes perfect sense. It's not a flame, Pere, just a fact.

More than anyone, before these changes, you derailed threads. More than anyone, before these changes you flamed in threads that were otherwise peaceful.

Now, all of a sudden, you have this change of heart or something...There's not a grave deep enough to park all that horseshit you shovel, so what did you do with it all?

On one hand, I agree that a change on the board like this requires change in its users to a degree. Cultural changes can take some time. You have literally done a 180. You go from total prick to ass-kisser overnight.
That's what I am calling pathetic.

Again, that's just calling a spade a spade. It's just discussion.

No maybe's about it. Your time on QCDN is up if you can't control your comments. "You are pathetic" is not a fact. If you think it's a fact, you need to look up the word fact. It is a flame. It is uncalled for. That there are twenty people like you who can't control yourselves on or off the FB and have no idea what a flame is--that is why admin is busting your rears.

You are not welcome here any more. You the flamer, not you the poster. Doesn't say anything about me, but you, Sneakypants, are on your way out if you don't get your ducks in a row. There is no other endpoint for someone who can't control themselves.There is no context. There is no circumstance. Don't flame. Can't do that? Pack it up. You can't stop flaming? Someone will pack it up for you.

I don't argue with posters who'se comebacks include "you are pathetic." I derail your topic for its shortcomings once you come up that short. You don't deserve a lick of content from me with content like that. So I derail it. Gladly, with enthusiasm, pile the boys on for the 20th time. You want low, you'll get lower. But that's in the past. Can't take it to the FB anymore like I'm supposed to once you all started flaming on GB, AH...basically everywhere but meet and greet.

Now I guess I just click the bad post button and see if it does anything? Flaming, out of all the offenses on boards, is the easiest to nail. You can try to say your target deserved it all you want. That's why trolling and flaming are both violations. Everyone who has posted on any large forum knows what a flame is though, and justification is irrelevant. Can't call that spade a cow and get away with it. Under no circumstances do you flame. "You are pathetic" is always a flame and will always be a flame. Quit or be quit, I dunno. I don't think it's that hard a concept.
