Admittedly, this vent should have occurred a long time ago when the game came out, but I didn't know this was an issue until today.
When Resistance 2 came out, I played through the single player and loved it. After I finished it, I called one of my brothers over so we could take a crack at the offline co-op. We got destroyed almost every single time we tried it, eventually finally getting past the first few stages. (Which was amazing considering the game couldn't save the second player's stats for-fucking-ever.)
There are three classes, but I only had two controllers at the time, so I figured we were struggling because we were always missing one key element. Controllers are expensive as balls, so paying for a third one to use for one game didn't seem worthwhile.
See, I was under the assumption that if you have an offline co-op game that is really only fun with at least three people, the game would support three fucking players offline. Well now I have three controllers (got a new one for $20, super sweet) and I find out online that the game only supports 2 people offline per console.
Is this true?
If it is true, what the fuck, Insomniac? Why even put the offline co-op in the game?
In conclusion, eat some balls, Insomniac.
