After doing a pick up dyna-xarca earlier I would just like to say respect your dynamis leaders it's not as easy as it looks, granted I had the issue of trying to tell Japanese people which to pull etc.

When you have a group of people who are all new or never actually been pullers and what not just try and be patient with the leader and the rest of the group while everyone trys to learn until it becomes comfortable.

Agreed. The leaders of my Dynamis LS work as hard as they can to keep things moving. It's alot of stress having to babysit 20-30 people in Dynamis in general.

Organizing anything with more than 6 people is hard. Going-to-make-you-prematurely-bald hard.

Willian doesn't lie.

LOL trist, but yeah, I have the utmost respect for Trist and the leadership of SanctusVires. Besides, who wouldnt love Trist, hes a taru of all things!

If only my shells had the same view. lol

This. Nothing worse then when you work hard, sacrifice, and break your back to help others and only half of them respect you.

Im always breaking my back for Dia's shell D: Death pulls so many times just to get certain NM's or exts. Only to have ppl whine about their item didn't drop or they die and lost exp. ._. If i would prob sit down and calculate the deaths iv had from pulling i would prob be fully merited in Thf and Pld and starting on Drg by now from that exp loss on pulling Lol. Some ppl just take things for granted at times and don't understand how hard the leaders work to keep things running smooth or they don't understand why you have to change a zone cause certain ppl don't show or another shell entered before you and they expect to still do that zone. Or even why they have to come a certain job even if they hate it so on and so forth. I see what Dia went through every run now lol and i still don't see how he did it all without shooting someone lol.

I've lead dynamis runs for 3 years, did all the sac pulls etc and people didn't understand that I get pissed off sometimes when I asked them to do sacs, and they fail such an easy thing-.- I mean. I tell Othello to aggro this NM tower, pull everying as far as he can NW, and I pull one NM to camp. What does he do? Pull everything to camp of course. Well this guy also failed to check ???s in buburimu... Or when a rdm fails to sleep one mob that kills me, and instead watches me die.. Or when a ninjar or a rdm fails at kiting a turle eye or ninja mob in xarcabard, and instead MPK the alliance...

Thats when I realized most people just don't care if we fail, lots of people go afk and don't play at their maximum and leech ( blabj anyone?) , so I started to loose intersest in dynamis>.> And finaly left.

This is why i dislike doing anything i need more then 12 to do. Granted that leaves out like... AV and Pande... Cant really think of anything else, but i hate bringing whiny leechers with me.

Oh Einherjar, but einherjar is only 30 mins, even most tards can focus for 30 mins.

i think the biggest issue i have trying to run dynamis is having to organize jobs. This usually leads me to getting people on jobs they don't like as much as thier other ones. I wish that people would just realize that if a leader (for any endgame really) says "i need you on X job" that it's because you're NEEDED on that job. If only people would just say "ok" and change instead of fighting with me about it. Even if i didn't fail horribly at multi-tasking, I don't have time to argue with 30+ people before a dynamis run about job selection X.X It's not like i plot out an elaborate plan before the run involving who hates what job most and forcing them to come on it... orz

I find that it's not always fair doing that even if you have to. Don't get me wrong, I do it myself because I have little choice and I end up going jobs I would rather not just to be able to complete certain events successfully; however, I've also noticed that not everyone has this problem. They have either opted themselves out of going undesirable jobs or by having such bland jobs, they could chose any of them and still perform the task. It's not fair to force the same group of people into jobs that they cannot stand playing while another group continuously goes as their desired jobs. I hope at the very least leaders realize they need to ask everyone to do this or eventually those who are continually asked to change will leave.

There's something else to consider, too. I'm sure that keeping in mind a player's skill level has something to do with asking someone to change jobs. If you have 2 people you know have whm at 75 but you know that one of them is better at the job than another, it makes sense that you'd ask the person you think will do a better job of it.

That's kind of the bitch of endgame. I had DRG and SAM at 75 and loved playing them both. But what job was I always on? WHM and occasionally BRD. Which was just fine by me because I love those jobs too (or I wouldn't have leveled them). I would have liked being able to bring my melee for more, but I did what was needed by doing what was best for the event. People need to stop leveling jobs they hate or sell the gear and stop playing it in general rather than whine when they're asked to play them.

Dont lvl a job to get you into a shell, then refuse to play it once you are in.

Peregrine was a dynamis leader....and even I had alot of respect for him (when we were doing dynamis), because yes, dynamis is a bitch and a half to lead and lead successfully, and he did an awesome job. I was lucky to have Invictus as my first and only dyna shell back in the day. I had every mnk AF2 piece in only maybe 6 months after joining.

Where did i say i force the same group of people to come a specific job? I go out of my way to try and ensure everyone gets a chance at variety and to come something different occasionally. However, sometimes i just can't do that. I also look at seniority when deciding who gets a break on certain jobs. I try not to pidgeon hole people into coming any one specific job, but sometimes it's just imposible not to. This usually applies to people that have 2 jobs to choose from. For example: if you have brd and pld at 75, but we have a surplus of plds and a shortage of brds, guess what job you're coming almost every run? Or for example, say you're new, have a variety of jobs which include blm and we are regularly short on blms. The new guy is the one that's gonna be coming blm every single run for a while until he's put in more time. Then i'll look at giving him the chance to come something else. I don't just decide on X person coming X job on a whim. I consider not only what i've mentioned above, but what is needed for each individual run. If anyone thinks it's easy trying to consider the above for 30+ people, AND trying to remember who has which jobs AND who has had a chance at a break to play something more fun, think again! And people wonder why i get annoyed at those who argue when i tell them i need them on X job...:wacko:

i can agree with this to a point. When new people are applying to lolD, i tell them not to include a job on their application if they don't plan on coming said job. Listing a job and then refusing to play it while i'm busy wrestling with 30 other people about -thier- jobs, makes my life as a dynamis ldr harder than it needs to be.

having said that, i can totally understand and sympathized with people that have been pidgeonholed into coming the same job to every single run (or endgame event) on the same job, with no hope of ever coming something else. I'll use myself as an example. I'm a drk main. I focus all my best best purchases and efforts on drk. Including upgrading relic scythe. I made the mistake of leveling blm as a fun -secondary- job. Suddenly, my drk never saw the light of day for ANYTHING. At one point i actually retired drk and sold all the gear. Then i remembered i'm a drk MAIN, not a blm main and came to my senses. I bought back all my purchasable drk gear and let me LS leaders know i was tired of coming blm to EVERY SINGLE endgame event on my ffxi schedule, and that i would be coming drk (my main) unless it was absolutely necessary i come blm. Nothing changed. So, i sold all my blm gear that wasn't rare/ex and put the rest into storage.

When i leveled blm, i enjoyed the job; it was fun not to have to chase after kited mobs. However, being forced to come the same job to every event without any variety or acknowledgement of my efforts on drk, made me hate the job. And i keep that in mind every time i set out to organize jobs for each dynamis run. I don't want people to hate the jobs they've leveled. I don't want to pidgeonhole anyone into any specific job.

So, just because someone may have enjoyed X job while they leveled it, and for a time after it got to 75, doesn't mean they still enjoy the job. A lot of people seem to forget that when they use the "why did you level the job" aregument.

If this was a year and a half ago, maybe you might have a point, but it's not. I work hard and I deserve to be able to enjoy myself more than I get to.

Sorry, I am not trying to point the finger at you, but you do raise a point that I do think is interesting and personally hits close to home for me. I lead my own limbus shell so I do know what it's like. I am stuck going WHM 90% of the time, occassionally going BLM and sometimes get lucky to have another WHM so I can tank Omega which is the only enjoyment I get out of the whole process. Outside of Limbus, I am type cast as WHM all the time. 5+ years and nothing but WHM. It's monotonous and sucks.

The thing is no matter how hard you try, its still not fair. I have to ask people to play a job that they would rather put in the closet and never see again just to accomplish the task while other players do not have to make that choice. Instead they can treat it like the job doesn't exist because for them it doesn't while those with that particular job do not have that luxury. I don't see why I should continuously give up my enjoyment when others are not or will not do the same.

I hate too how people think you have to have an army of BLMs to do dynamis , or things like that. The very minimu you need IMO is 2 PLD 1WHM 2BLM 1 BRD 2 RDM/BLM, a few healers, a TH4 and remainder as DDs. 2 BLM is more than enough to kill stones, 2 rdms more than enough to sleep, and DDs are more efficient at killign shit than BLMs.
