Returning and needing tips

After 5months of waiting... I can actually return back to FFXI

Its either today... or tomorrow... or the day after tomorrow.

When I return I'm thinking of returning as NIN.

Any tips? Anybody wanna party with me after I return.. yada yada yada

if you look at my siggy.. it says my NIN is 10.. DRG is still at 58.. or I mean 57 since I delvled

I might just be taking my DRG to 60 or 61... then I'm gonna go do woodcrafting.. and get that up to 30...for the shishe

NIN tips would prolly be...well, backup tank is your best friend til 37 (the odds of you keeping up shadows on just Ichi til recast is VERY low).

Elemental wheel is useless until you get Ni nukes, and even then it's so-so.

Navarin (+att%, close to Mithakabob and +5eva) or Jack o' Lantern (10acc/10eva) are useful if you want a little help in avoiding, but I wouldn't ever use food that pricy in Dunes. =/

And...I'm sure people will debate with me on this, but I personally used an Uchigatana +1 until 16. The skill cap difference was only 4 or so, and I did over 3x more damage with it than I did dualwielding katanas...but that's just me.

only 1 problem i see with that is you would be gimping your katanas when you return to using them. but beside that agree with above post

I've lvlled nin to 23 so far and in most ptys I had, it was duo nins which was helpful to swap turns to tank while shadows go down on one while the other puts up shadows to tank.

The recast time sucks for utsmetsu which is why it's better once you're higher when the mages have haste and you have more eva and such and better enfeebling done.

You won't save anything on Shehei unless you can HQ them a lot, I think, just so you know. NIN = expensive. I took it to 18 and got sick of buying Shehei already! But I'm picky and cheap. Have fun with whatever, and welcome back.

false alarm about me coming back.... I was s'posed to this week.. but yeah.. I'll just tell you the short story.

My finace' was s'posed to get some money in the mail (10K) and she got it, but since she didn't have a banking account.. her mom put it in the bank for an 11 day hold.

See... her mom and her... they both have the same name and since it was her own mother... of course she trusted her..

We found out yesterday night that she used up ALL of it.. all except 1K.. so we got that. We have no clue on what she used it on.. but thats not the point.h

That money was s'posed to help me and my finace' move out... for our wedding... a car.. basically everything.

We're still living here... just we don't have any respect for her mom... even if she does pay us back.

so yeah.... for anybody that I got their hopes up... I'm sorry... I won't be on the game... hopefully I can sometime get back on it whenever I can
