Returning to Quetzalcoatl

Hello all,

I'm new here, I've recently come back to FFXI after about a couple years, and I find out my ID is no longer in use(need to start all over again). Quetzalcoatl has all of my friends on it, I want to go back there.

Yeah, I checked the Weekly World Pass sticky, it seems they don't work anymore. If anyone can kindly help me back onto Quetzalcoatl, it would be much appreciated. :)

Hello there!

I can get you a pass after work, but it'll take awhile (about 7 more hours).

I suppose if I get the pass and you no longer need one, I can post it for others.


Any preferences on passes? I can get you a gold pass that will give you some items (though they're kinda pointless) the longer you play. It can only be used once though and we'd have to meet up in game to get the pointless items.

It's up to you. I'll get a normal pass unless you specify otherwise.

If you need an ls plz let me know, but whatever you do, DO NOT join Pandetech's ls. ._.

Thanks for the reply's, yeah I'll still need a WP, and possibly an LS(The one I was in with my friends, is probably gone by now, don't even remember the name). Note: I haven't played in a good while, I'll need to get use to it all again. ;)

About the WP, Normal is fine, I just want to get back on Quetzalcoatl and get started. Plus, I'll try and pay back any fees if needed...

EDIT: Pandetech sort of rings a bell... seems I heard of him while I was on Quetz...

Don't worry about the fees. In fact, if you need some help earning gil, I can send fishing supplies to your moghouse. (bait is really cheap when you synth it)

What time do you normally play?
I work late swing shifts so my schedule is generally opposite from everyone else, but I'd be glad to help if I could.

Fishing for moat carp is a great way to earn some gil when you first start out. Moat carp are level 0-11 fishing skill so you can make money right away. Each stack sells for 10k at the AH and they sell fast. Just be aware that fishing is different than it was a couple years ago. You have to "pull" the pole in the opposite direction it swings and watch the fish's "health bar" in the lower right corner til it reaches zero and then hit enter to reel it in.
A friend of mine earned an airship pass by level 15 through fishing.
7 stacks a day = 70k a day.
For beginners, that's a lot of cash.

K, well if you do need an ls you and your friends are welcome, the ls name is DarkEmblem it's got a moderate amount of people who talk alot, so it's a pretty social ls. Anyways when you get the chance send a tell to Darkseifer(LS leader), Gunnerx, Alianne<~(not sure how you spell this name), or Kitsuji if any of em are on. If you do get a hold of them, tell them that I sent you, I'm completely sure that they'll let you and your friends join. We help people with as much things as possible and the ls ldr is 75 so he can help with just about anything. I won't be on till about Saturday so if you join the ls cya then, if not then i'll see you some other time on Quetz. ^^

Raiyne: Thanks alot, that'll be great, and I am normally always on unless something happends to come up. Yeah, I use to fish moatcarp all the time for gil, but I never synthed the bait, only bought it (probably wasting money, more than making it...)

StanDarsh: Yeah, I personally don't enjoy quiet LS's, ours was pretty quiet all the time, it wasn't that great... I may join in though, we'll see. :)

btw: My main character is "Raiyne." I also spend a fair amount of time on my mule "Lukoi," so feel free to send a tell to either of these if you happen to see them online.
