still tho.. compare how many ppl play this game including RMTs to how many accounts got suspended/banned. I'm can probably put money on it that it's a LOW ratio. Ruffy... you probably just got the short end of the stick. Which isn't fair... but nothing is perfect.

More likely those thousands were caught up in one of the other bannings and received their warning temp ban already.

Despite what a number of the tightwads around might say, no they cannot detect windower.

I don't know a lot about how the game is implemented, but as far as i know, each time there is a version update, or each time you reinstall the game, there is a program scanning the files that are on your HDD. So this is possible.

Also i remember some time ago people d/cing each time they took sanction with windower (or outpost warp). If they exploit bugs like that, it is easy to see that you use windower w/o checking you computer.

But the information is not sent back, and it only scans select files in a specified drive. You could mix porn in with all your FFXI files and they would't know it.

THIS is closer to a possibility of detecting, but sofar as i know, they dont know the difference between you disconnecting and logging off, nor can they flag it.

if your PC lags so much as to you having "speed boosts" cuz of windower, you may want to invest in another computer. idk, the only thing that ever happens to me is that when i leave mog or leave upper jeuno on choco, i may not appear right away but im still running normal speed (or at +12% from gaiters or +ninjafeetspeed). *shrugs*

Well, in response to Z4 (OP), use the windower at your own risk. We all know it's a 3rd party tool and can get you suspended or (even worse) banned. But I guess I'm stating the obvious.

Arguments of weather or not SE can detect the windower or not are interesting talking points, but since it's probably unlikely that someone from SE will post here, we're just guessing.
