Last night my brother and I made a party for crawlers nest. Good group except our RDM. No one was ever refreshed and he never healed anyone. Finally the party leader got fed up and booted him, after several attempts to try to get him to do anything. We brought on a bard and we didnt have any downtime the rest of the night, with the exception of two exoray-related deaths (damn exorays.) A little while after the RDM was gone, a 50-60something RDM showed up and started killing all our soldier crawlers and sleeping Exorays in front of us, so our puller couldnt get out of our hallway. He did this for about 2 hours and then sent us a tell saying that our booted RDM said 'hi.' This guy also stood there when one of us died, casting raise and resting early so the spell wouldn't finish.

As for our booted RDM, I think he bought his account. Level 41 and our pt leader had to teach him how to macro. He didn't know how to do anything.

Despite all this everyone that stayed in our party gained at least two levels. I didn't want to start flaming anyone, so I left names out. I just wanted to vent because it was kinda frustrating.
 
would have been nice to at least know who the rdm is. that way we know not to invite him.
 
ya name would be nice and this would be better in the flame board

Qcdn has hosted "RDM should do" discussions ad nauseum. I would say this post is in the wrong section, but since you provide no names whatsoever it's in the wrong forum altogether.

What is to be gained by not naming any names? At least name the guy who was fake raising. If your afraid to make waves and call these guys out than this thread is doomed to be A. locked, B. moved, or C. deleted. What purpose will it serve then?

You know, sometimes people just want to vent, but still not mention people by name, either as a courteous act of diplomacy or to simply avoid confrontation that could become awkward when an unexpected mutual friend between both parties is forced to choose between them. The OP is seeking an opportunity to vent frustration and even seek a little sympathy, and for some of us, the anything-goes flameboard is the worst possible place to try cheering ourselves up.

Pasquale, what that high-level RDM did was flat-out evil. I hope you called a GM, and I applaud you for at least trying to work with the other RDM.
 
Even if you'd want to PM the name to people replying on this thread, it'd be helpful. To be honest, I have jobs in the nest and will have some more shortly (getting subjob up and working on maxing out skills). I do not want him in my party, and I know others agree. It's not to flame or burn this guy, but a matter of helping out those people who would not do that to you or anyone else. Y'know, the good players of this game that keep the game fun.
 
My roomate was in that party last night (he was the blu), and I was watching on and off what was going on all night. I applauded the leader for finally kicking the rdm, and I was pretty annoyed when the higher level rdm came and started "fake" raising you guys. I was just about to come and raise you myself when my roomate said you guys got one.

Nice job ignoring the bullshit and getting a few levels there even with all of that garbage going on. You might have made an enemy of the rdm, but you made some friends by sticking it out.

I know you're not trying to flame someone by not naming names, but this is still a flame.
 
Wait wait wait wait. Wasn't something like this posted about a RDM doing the exact same thing at Nest Beetles, like, one WEEK ago?
 
I guess the flameboard would have been better for this post, but I wanted to avoid things getting ugly. The RDM who was killing our crawlers, fake raising, etc. was Vexed. This guy is a class act all around.
 
I know, had the other boards been open I would of moved it there but as there is only one place for player problems (the FB), it has to get moved here for now.

That being said however, this doesn't have to get ugly - that's up to the people posting and your responses.
 
RDM's not refreshing topics are so beaten to death it hurts to even try and come up with a clever analogy for it.

You guys did the right thing to kick him, and his name never needs to be said. If any name needs to be revealed it should be of the ass that toyed with you guys after.

It's almost always the RDM's that take the beatings, hardly ever do you see the same animosity towards a PLD for shit tanking or a BLM for piss poor MB timing, or for that matter, a SAM who can't/won't SC.

I'm locking it because quite frankly QCDN does not need anymore "RDM did'nt do his job threads". Maybe in the new forums these topics may again find a home.

Edit: I did'nt notice that the name of the RDM who hastled the pt was posted till too late.
I'm going to unlock this in case anyone else has anything to add to Vexed's supposed antics.

I didn't post this as a "RDM didn't do his job thread." He didn't and we kicked him. I posted this to share a story and vent a little. But I understand where you're coming from, so sorry.

A genuine Flame lies in what Vexed did to you guys.
It will be interesting to see if anyone else has had any issues with him / her.
 
i think one of my LS members was the leader of that Party... lol. he told me he booted a RDM that got to Crawlers' Nest due to noobness.. Futalis left my LS talking shit saying "Cyruss booted my friend and he walked all the way to Crawlers' Nest" and i than said "They all walked to Crawlers' Nest" lol. but im not sure if it was for sure his PT... but im guessing it was, what are the odds that 2 RDMs got kicked from the same place on the same day... hmm.. lol

The leader of our party was Mikezon. So yeah I guess there was two. It mightve been teh same RDM though.

Killing the exp is shity though, and i can't see vexed doing any of that i'm sorry to say...........


Help ppl play the game! or they will end up like me Quiting with 56M gil and hella items of no use to you anymore.
