I am tempted to try it but when everyone just describes it as Lineage 2 but with different animation it doesn't bode well. That would mean that there would be very little story and what is there isn't translated very well, the grind will be tedious, and the complexity of the quests will be kill 30 of these and bring me there skins.

All that said, I still have to tell myself to not stop at Fry's and pick it up. For some reason I get an urge to play L2 again even though I only play it for a couple weeks and get tired of it again.
 
my cousin playing RF online atm, is look pretty good game, mostly PvP style tho not like FFXI, but very good game, just released to NA too, been out of korea or something for a while tho.

You show pic on an robot, where is girls and the guys wheeling the sword or staff? XD

So ... is the play similiar to Lineage or what, yosh?

Give us some comparisons or some info to go off of from a player standpoint, i'm not one for just being satisfied reading the promotional hype.

Some of the quests are similar, but the game play is much much diffrent imo anyway.

For exaple every 8 hours there is a big huge war amooung the factions, a PVP free for all. This is called a Chip War. In which the goal is to destroy the other factions chip, and protect your own.

Also in some areas outside your outpost town once you pass certain levels mobs become kinda weak, so you form PVP XP partys and go gank Cora or Bells for XP and they do the same to you.

Unlike FFXI there is no XP penalty for death except when PVP in Chip wars.

It's also uses a very open based skill system, so as skills get stonger they cost more but last longer. For example my WAR's Heated Rage ability (the equvilant of beserk) is a basic skill but is at a lvl 2 rank it last 150 second, and costs about 40 FP, FP standing for Force Power, The equivlent of FFXI TP bar. But it works in a completely diffrent manner. Instead of haveing to work up TP in FFXI you have a full FP gauge and as you use Force Skills the equivlent of FFXI weapon skils your FP gauge goes down, but hitting mobs and other players gives you FP as well as getting hit by mobs and other players. There are also Stamina HP and FP pots all in diffrent amounts the largest I have found is 2000 HP pot a 500 FP pot and a 500 Stamina pot. Being a Robot and being unable to use magic, pots are completely necsissary.

Stamina is baisically how long you can run, thus makeing stamina pots esential for long walks quests and PVP, once eyour stamina bar gets low into the single digits you begin to walk. which is eaily fixes by poping a pot and pressing W.

Anyway thats kind of a very very very basic of how some of this game is played.

Plays a lot like Lineage II but the grind is only 3/4 as bad. Still horrid though. Only good thing, to me, about the game, is the graphics and summons. Gameplay is a joke but Mine Wars is hella fun.

Play Lineage II and you wont. Also, to clarify, when I say horrid I'm speaking about the games grind; not the game itself.
 
what server are you on? :D I'm on Water. LvL 10 rng atm. I think I'm also the only female on my server playing the Accretion robot people... friggin Robots man ></)! so awesome <3 anyways if you hop on Water my character's name is Xnosis.


The game is amazing. Still buggy though. I plan after my free month is up to cancel my account and wait another month or two for them to fix out the bugs.

I'm on Fire Server, because I was selected for the beta and made friends with the dev team, I and many players from the beta have meetings with them 2 times a month to discuss known issues bugs ect. and how the players feel would be best to fix them.

Not sure what your refering to as "grind". But if your talking about the rythim of play yes it is somewhat similar. However IMO the CW and all other aspects of PVP with guilds and factions break up the monitney.

I really enjoyed the Mine Wars. The only crappy thing about them was the Bellato would show up and just pwn everyone from being severly overpowered. That was during the PH beta about six months back though. I'm sure it's balanced out now.
