I agree with the first two, but the third one I'm having trouble seeing what the problem is. It is derogatory, mean-spirited, or flame-baiting... all I see it as is as a warning.

Correct. Calling someone a douche in a good times thread does not make them less likely to speak up.

When it comes down to it, maybe it'll be done with the typical "I'm a mod I do whatever the fuck I want, and there's nothing you can say or do or protest to change it, deal with it or... deal with it" type ultimatum.

Where then I just add person in question to ignore list.

But if not, hey I do enjoy reading some of her posts.

"Hey guys can you tone it down?" after a first warning of "Keep it clean" sounds more like something my grandmother would say to me if my brother and I were fighting, which is why I applied it this afternoon. I do not speak to our members as children or view myself as "better" or "above" anyone on this board, except maybe Myrrh.

I am not, however, going to hold your hand and give you cookies while I remind you that its bad to flamebait in Good Times or toss insults around in End Game Discussion. I am not going to tollerate any type of rule-breaking. If my personality seems far too abbrasive for you, feel free to not be my friend. In my honest and humble opinion, people who shit on someone elses good times are douche bags. You'll notice that two of my quotes in your OP are not directed at anyone specifically, just generalizations. Now, you taking offense because you did something wrong, I can understand that. The quote in which I said 'shut the hell up' was more of an extremely casual summarization of the Good Times rules and wasn't an insult towards anyone. I chose to do that and lock rather than hand out a bunch of infractions. I can see where that would seem rather harsh but, thats just the way I talk sometimes. In my opinion, speaking plainly to members as I would anyone else is far less condescending than spelling out exactly what I want them to do and why in a pious, near robotic tone. I figure warnings are good enough to start out with instead of mysteriously disappearing threads and whatnot (*cough*modmins*cough*). I could be wrong, if you want me to act like supreme and righteous moderator I can, but I'd rather just be me with the ability to lock and delete bullshit from threads.

Like you said in your OP, if you have something to say, say it in a PM. But instead you brought it here to throw your tantrum for getting a slap on the wrist when you did something wrong. If you have any constructive or friendly advice, please fee free to PM me at any time. If not, continue on with your throwing insults and stomping your feet.

There are 2 things one can do, take it to FB or take it to PM, since I think mods won't take something to FB I only mentioned PMs in my op.
