Anyway... I know Rikamaru don't speaks like that, and also that even if it was Rika's friend, he would have told me that i'm Rika's friend... just to heads up guys, Rikamaru isn't Rikamaru, if you have Rika in RL contact, tell him about it

Unfortunately he will have to report his character stolen himself indeed.

Understandable though, it would really suck if anyone could suspend your character by simply saying "I know this guy, it's not him playing this character."

I do hope he will get his char back soon and in tact though =/
 
That sucks. -One thing that upset me most in those logs, was that. Why can't you give a GM the time slot of which the conversation took place, and have them look it up. From that alone, it's clearly sketchy. And if it was a friend, he just lost some trust, so that's why I agree if it was a friend, they would of said it before anything bad happened. Though, I still feel a lock like that could be put in affect, and simply call them up with CC info, address and name, and you'll be prepped and ready to go. And don't have it set up via phone, have a form you can fill out on PoL or the PoL log in, giving you the ability to fill out the required info, if it doesn't match up within three tries, you MUST contact a customer server representative or something. Just speaking my mind.

Hope they get control back though. I've seen first hand the trouble it is to regain everything you lose. Makes quitting sound a lot more satisfying.

Ok sniffed the site, thingsd ****ing loaded with viruses, yup.

Ok, so here's whats up.

rika has not been hacked.

Turns out hes a friend of riku and was just joking aroudn and didnt realize vand would take it seriously. I scoped the site and though it does have viruses, theya re not ffxi related. Turns out it really is a NIN site, part of their publicity Game stunt.

He didnt realize the site was riddled with viruses, it being aprt of "the other side of the internet"

after a long talk we came to terms, apolagized, and moved on to talk about the site. I /strongly/ suggest staying away from it unless you know what you're doing.

All in all, Riku will be back in a bit. the character running him atm is ColdFyre, a close friend.

Yeah, we were bantering back and forth, to any one else it would've looked like giberresh... turns out he was throwing random NIN lines from songs at me XD
