Ever since this event started people have been raise prices for 1 faerie apple to 300g wth is up with that. Please quit trying to make poor people even more poor. That is a greedy and selfish way to make money. i just had to say how i feel about it

You can always just buy those from the sandoria market... for like... 20g.

That is a greedy and selfish way to make money

Is it? If people would not buy it at that price, then it wouldn't be so high. Supply and demand! Take a run over to sandy and get what you need for cheap OR pay high price, your choice.

Yea these people are buying them from NPCs I recomend you do so as well.

personally I think its more greedy to charge money for teleports...something that takes less then 2 minutes for the whole process. Takes more time to buy and resell this food.

and then if it doesnt sell, your stuck with 12 stacks of fruit

I made a killing the first 2 hours lol. When they didnt know that all fruit and sweets are equal. Selling Pumpkin pie for 2500 a piece. went through 4 stacks.

Someone else who thinks that white mages were put on Vana'Diel to serve others. >_<
You shouldn't charge for teleports or raises but you should be perfectly willing to take your time out to do them if people ask. White mages don't have many ways of making money. Lets face it, we suck at melee so farming is out of the question unless we fight low level monsters and crafting is impossible without gil to back it. So what is wrong with charging people to cast a spell if it's going to give them a great deal of convenience. (Save some experience or save them an hour or more of walking).

"But it's free for you. MP doesn't cost anything."

No but time does. I have to take time to invite someone for a teleport, wait for them to dick around and mess in their mog-house b/c they shouted before they were ready to go, teleport them, warp back and then sit to recover my MP. Granted It's a lot of gil for the amount of time it takes to do it. (about 1k for 2 minutes worth of work) but the work isnt' constant. If you could do that constantly you could make 30K+ an hour but I've averaged about 9-10K an hour b/c of waiting for people who need it.

just seems odd to me that teleports were always free until December or whenever WHM's started hitting mid 30's in North America... little by little more WHM's started charging for this.

Not just WHM fault tho... so many NA players spam /shout for teleports, rarely see a JP looking for one through /shout.

Would love someday for someone to explain all these differences in ettiquite between the JP and NA communities.

Sorry decidence, but i prefer to pay 500 - 1000 gil and have a teleport quickly when i need it than have to beg for a "free" one.
If WHM didnt charge the teleport it would be far less ppl doing them then far more time to find one.
And 500 gil is not very expensive ... half the price of a chocobo in jeuno or at a crag ... two runs in airship.

For the NA vs JP remark I must point that JP use tele taxi services too.

I bought fruit from vendors after buying some cookies. Once I was done getting all that I wanted from the event, I just put the price up a little more than what I bought it at in nations that didn't sell it. I made almost all of my money back. I think it's a little more fair to do that since you took the time to travel and get the items for the people who can't.

If people are lazy and can't walk to the next zone to buy fairy apples for 41 gil, I'm going to do it and turn around and sell them for 100

PS: At least I broke even on this event...never did get a treat staff or a trick staff II....

Man... I feel evil then

Since the event started I have:

Trick Staff O
Trick Staff II O
Treat Staff O
Treat Staff II O
Pumpkin Head O
Horror Head O
Pumpkin Head II O
Horror Head II X

Plus about 20 Jack-O'-Lanterns

I'm also up 215K from where I was at the beginning of the event.
Thank you Square Enix. You just bought me my new equipment :)

I haven't made that much gil of this event, maybe 20-30k. I really should have kept on top of the item I was selling, but now other people have caught on and the AH is starting to get flooded with them. It's not that hard to buy these items from the NPC's, so I got no clue why people would buy them for almost double the price in the AH, but thanks to the event now they're in big demand, so whatever.

I need to actually start the event though, I want to get some of those items.

Yes, it's called the e-c-o-n-o-n-y. You can sell your stuff for whatever price people are willing to pay for it. If you are so poor, maybe you shouldnt be doing this gimmick event.

secondly, not to fan the flames of the minor flame post here, but decidence, you are just plain wrong. I have seen many a JP player shouting for a tele. Maybe you haven't noticed because it's not in auto-translater or using romanji, but it does happen quite often.

Decidence apears to be one of those who idolize the JP gaming community and look down upon the NAs... maybe he isn't to blame though... it seems some people can't help being sycophants... it is in their blood

i'm not a whm but to expect a tele for free is blatantly ignorant.... the tele spells are job specific and must be quested for.. you pay for an airship ride.. you pay for a chocobo... you can just as easily pay for a tele.. and if you think you deserve a tele for free because now that the whm has the spell and it doesn't cost him anything then i'd expect you would also be willing to help every random stranger do genkai, AF, etc for FREE

As an evil charging whm, I can tell you JPs DO ask for teleport! The thing is 95% of them do not use the auto-translate function and I'm glad to know a bit of katakana to decipher mea, dem, holla, yhoat or altep in their shouts and find some new customers ^_^

What the people are doing is not ripping them off. It's just people just decide to buy from a person who is convienent.

Shall you:
a) Buy from the high price individual merchant?
b) Buy from the high price AH?
c) Go to the regional vendor who sells UNLIMITED amounts of their items?
d) Find another regional merchant who is selling a different cheaper item?

There are choices. People just found a way to exploit the laziness of others. Heck, sometimes I'm on of those lazies that just happen to stumble aross the right bazaar.

Nobody is forcing you to participate in the event. I know that I haven't. Although having a rechargable warp staff would be convenient to end a farming trip.

Speaking of a rechargable warp staff, someone was talking about the Trick Staff II (10 Warp charges w/ 1 day recharge time) and saying that when it is out of charges there should be a way to recharge it. does anyone know if this is true?

-edit-
Er... I'm a dumb ass. There's no way to know b/c w/ a 1 day recharge you can't have used all the charges by now :P
