Side topic, back in November on the last day of my old job as a clerk at a gas station I wanted to do something before I left. So I had a little fun with the sign, believe it or not, it stayed up for about 2 weeks before they apparently noticed and removed it. Heh. Good times.

Bingo. Army and Marines are real. Navy was real too, been there, done that. My job, although intense, paled in comparison to what the boys hangin out in the dunes do from day to day. While my ass cruised around aiming my CIWS at drug runners in Columbia, they're out in the blistering sand taking car bombs. My job may have been real, but those boys have some nuts of steel.

Flip that to "Marines and Army are real". How you gonna put the Marines second to Army.

Anyway, without the Navy, the Marines can't really function as well. Being a department of the Navy and all.

So as far as the armed forces go, here's your chain of awesomeness....

1- Marines ("The Few & The Proud" for a reason)
2- Army (my little sister is a Soldier by the way and so was my dad, uncles, grandpa, etc.)
3- Navy (At least they got the SEAL's and the best Docs evar)
4- Air Force (Blowin shit up from the sky since 1947)
5- National Guard (part of the Army)
6- Coast Guard (part of the Navy)

Navy is real still. You have to get use to walking on land after being at seas on months end walking wide trying to compensate for the boats rocking. Although I agree the Navy is not what it use to be in the days of Cold War, WWII, WWI, and the days of Teddy. They're still good for something. Plus the Navy SEALS pwn. They're super trained Naval officers that go in and just go bickity baw ninja style! Then again the Navy did have that song by Village People... and now they use God Smack to advertise.
