You're right. My ink was more....involved a process than any piercing. A new piercing takes what? 5 minutes? My ankle ink took over an hour, and it's not very detailed at all, just medium sized.

Recovery is a different story. Tongue KILLED me for about 3 days, the piercing depicted above was only sore for a couple, and tattoos only seem to bother me for about 24 hours.

I have a dragon tattooed on one shoulder blade that is about 5 inches high and 4 inches wide. Hurt like a mofo and took about 2 hours because it was detailed. Recovery wasn't so hot when I found out that I was allergic to black india ink. (And here I originally thought that I had drank way too much! lol).

I've just had my navel pierced, nothing else. Have had many friends though who have had other piercings (one had so much metal on his head that he should run in fear from large magnets). Tattoos hurt more (and take longer) when they are on bony structures or the kidney area in the back. Had one male friend get a large killer whaled on that part of his back and he cried, lol. Some century, I'm going to have to get my navel repierced before I get too much older. I had to have it removed when I was pregnant with my son.

P.S. One more thing-- Kyle, yes, "old people" play videogames too! I'm turning 36 this August and am not planning on retiring from any sort of gaming for a good many years. :D

Me smiling.....

Me after an ICP concert around my 18th birthday. (November last year)

Me flipping you off.

Enjoy!

Oh and if that last picture needs to be taken down for it's content >.> let me know i'll edit my post.

<<<<< 43 and I'll play til my fingers can't move on the keyboard anymore or I'm dead  !!!!

I have 3 tats. I have a half-moon dream catcher on my right shoulder, an Indian design on my left shoulder, and a bear claw on my right ankle. I'm Cherokee Indian and am very proud of my heritage. Personally tat's don't bother me as much as piercings. I don't know why. Guess it's cuz I feel my body is a canvas^^.

I have a Kanji tat on my back that stands for "Sky", my wife has one in the same spot that stands for "Ocean"

We thought it would be better than getting each other's name on our body XDDDD

lol, yeah, piercing does hurt. I bled like nobody's business, too :( It's not as bad, imo, as getting a tattoo.

Try getting your nipples pierced! I'd have got my skull tattooed before I got my nipples pierced if I had known lol.

Been there. Had them both pierced for about 7 years, but they were taken out a little over a year ago. Went from hoops to studs after a mosh pit incident. ><

Got 5 tattoos as well. They are all forks! j/k, but a friend of mine has 30+ tattoo and about 7 are forks. He has little fork earrings too. Just odd. But I do have 5 tattoos. 4 are on my back.

Edit: Jez you wanted experiences. Well there's one above which was obviously a detriment. But something I liked were the winters.
Cold alloy running through my nips was all good. I had a 25 minute walk to my college campus from my apartment...I walked regularly in the winter. ^^

Nice tattoos. :) I don't know if you noticed my rather dark husband in one of my pictures. He's full Navajo. I've been living on/near the Navajo reservation for about 4 years now and have had the pleasure to meet many people from different tribes. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else and take pride in our daughter's heritage as well. It's something to be proud of, imo. Now, if only I could pronounce her clan names...

Geez, I wish I had a mom like that.
Life would be slighty more fun :|

*Runs around*

You guys are making me blush and wince at the same time.

"bit" piercings. Gah! I could never do that. I got my nose pierced (twice) long story short, my body is allergic to every metal except for gold, and it didn't work out. No tattoo's although I've been thinking about getting one of the kanji for "Kyo" somewhere on my body.

Thanks everyone for your compliments <3.

I'll make sure to get some new pics, expecially if I get my hair dyed the way I want it.

(Hot pink tips baby! XD)

Actually, if another girl has said piercing, I'd be curious about their experiences too.

'kay then, if she ever reads this, she's gonna KILL me, but my daughter has had said piercing Jezza, but not the "should". She did the actual "bit", and she says there is NOTHING like it (if you get my drift). She especially told me if I ever do it myself, to NOT do the "should", do the "bit". She says it's unbelievable.

That made my brain asplode.

asplode!

edit: holy crap i didnt even read the full quote, just saw my name.

*asplodes*
