Neyla was running around Qufim Island and sent me a /tell about the amazing number of fishbots in the zone. They're on the southern cliffs, which surprised me because I automatically assumed they were clearing the oceans of squid. It turns out they're hauling up hundreds upon hundreds of Mythril Swords.

I assume they're selling the swords to NPCs to generate gil, or are possibly doing a desynth and selling the resulting nuggets. Either way, it's freaky to see that many bots in one place. I think it's the same fishbot horde that was in Windurst Waters the other day.

I made a GM call and spoke to GM Cayenne. It's under investigation, but I was advised to report it to the Task Force.

If only that kraken for the Beastmaster flag quest could go on a killing spree...

trickster kinetix the weapon NM wouod work if the Rmt dont have a bodyguard over em.

So, I'm new to the whole MPK'n of fishbots. How do you go about getting the NM's over there? Do you aggro them and then log near the bots? How would one go about this? I want some action..lol.

Yep, aggro 'em then lead em over to the RMT and then either A) warp or B) die. You can't really log out because you gotta heal and if you gettin attacked, that won't work, Ny. FIGHT THE SYSTEM!
 
Did someone actually get the NM to aggro them?
 
Jesus christ, I haven't fished there in ages just by merely keeping an eye on the market. I see why now, that is ridiculous, why havent these people been banned? They have been atleast botting for 60 levels now, honestly what the fuck. Poor Hali, no room for a taru to squeeze in.

i'm sure a bst could charm a undead (would fail of course) and log near them, i beleive that is still consider'd their pop 'area' and it wouldnt despawn
 
Thelema, Janelly and I were leveling the other night and counted about 40 bots there. We also called the GM and he said the same thing "We are observing them". They had some kind of bot to filter out the items cause they were ONLY catching swords.

Scary stuff... was like Stepford Fishingbot. I have a SS of it too.
 
Killing them doesnt do anygood, they set their hp to qufim. I've seen it all too often for them to get killed by undead/monster/whatever, and be back to the same exact spot in a minute tops.
 
Those monsters in screenshot aren't NMs O_o
 
"We are observing them". What the hell? Observing them do what? Bot? When you have that many lvl 1 players with dickslap names, fishing up nothing but mythril swords while not responding to mob aggro, what do you need to observe? Honestly...

Have you ever fished? It's easy as fuck to tell if you're getting an item.

No, I sat there and watched them. If they are lvl one, they have hax because a Banshee was right on top of them and didn't argo any of them. Of course they're all /anon and equipped only w/ a fishing rod and bait, so there's no way to tell.
