beacause its not a bad peice of armor either. you get your numbers no mater which of the 2 you have.

Yes, you get numbers either way, but the AJ one will always be higher, which I always thought was the point of hitting shit with a big stick.

i dunno... AJ is one of the most hidious armors in the game... And i think Vandy is one of those girls that likes to look pretty or cute... or what ever the term is that the girls use

I wear stuff that's cute sometimes when I go fish (eg Zenith Crown and scythe) because I get sick of looking at my elemental staves and my ugly AF+1 hat. I also wear fishing gear everywhere if I'm not going to an event or meriting or something.

the same can be said for all armors that have a 1 version. a WAR using hauby +1 will get higher results then a WAR wearing NQ one. but we dont harp on people that dont have a +1 now do we.

and i, too, knew she had an AJ. she sent me a /tell gloating about it when she got it. :P hell my DRG is still restricted to an SH cause i cant afford a Corazza and OSE is being a stingy bitch. But i get my high numbers all the same, and no mater which of the 2 i get first they will only go up.

What I do care about is stupidity. Sorry for not catering to your affections when dealing with a job I actually took seriously when I played. Go on and continue to wear something shiney while others who know what they are doing play the game right and wear the hideous piece of armor with the stats. Go ahead and say you were soloing, and I will still say you are soloing in the wrong armor.

The fact of the matter is that the Assault Jerkin, a free piece of armor, is much better than another piece of armor which takes drops off Jorm to make. Not only are you paying for a piece of armor, but you are paying for a piece of armor which arguably has no value what-so-ever because a free piece is much better. But go ahead and continue to solo in it. That choice is yours. Then again, it is also my choice to say you made a bad one.

But again, that might just be me. We've had the discussion a million times about whether skill or armor makes the player, but you can have all the damn skill in the world and still hit like a fucking pansy. But that makes me an elitist bastard, right?
 
Killing RMT is priceless; I hope I have a file three inches thick in RMT Headquarters.

For those of you who think it doesn't help, that there will always be RMT, consider that they may just think Quetzy is too much of a pain in the butt to make gil and close shop here.

I like to wear full smn af gear, and my federation aketon. Is that bad? THe aketon gives me no benefit for my job right? ; ;

If she's soloing, she can wear whatever the fuck she wants. I like to wear my aketon with my smn af cause..it looks cool to me.

What she wears when she solo's (if she exps with the gear or just wears it for fun) doesn't affect you. If she was in your party, then yes, it does.

Nope, I bought mine off Kaine for 5mil. Then I sold it for 20mil to someone just like Vandoura who thought it was so amazing.

And yes, she can wear whatever she wants. I just know it is stupid to do so, which is what I have been saying this whole time. Just because you can wear whatever you want whenever you want, doesn't make it right.

It's all about being productive. Not that I condone the fact that she is MPKing people, even if they are RMT, wearing the proper armor not only allows her to do it more quickly, but also more efficiently. Not only that, but by carrying around stupid pieces of armor or other ridiculous shit in your inventory, you are taking away from slots that could otherwise be used for something useful. I say the same thing to people who put roses and chocolate in their bazaar. Get rid of the stupid shit because it serves no purpose.
 
Well, that proves my point regardless.

Back on topic, Guivre 101.

1. Wait for him near the Spider / Cactuar intersection.
2. Pop a silent oil.
3. Flee and aggro Guivre by sight. Make sure it doesn't hit you.
4. Run down the tunnel toward Arachne and check your six every now and then, as Guivre -will- deaggro on occasion. Repeat step 3~4 unless it is unsafe to do so, if Flee will wear off soon, just leave him and wait. (Or PD /logout at the pond)
5. If successful, Guivre will be at the pond by now.
6. Hide and watch everyone's priceless reaction.
(If applicable) 7. Warp and send all your valuable items to a RL friend.
