To all the RMT /telling evryone: PISS OFF! honestly, do ppl STILL buy gil knowing the can/will be banned whenever SE decides they want to?

and to SE: bravo, you've just moved closer to WoW, circa 2007

that is all

lol I got the spam tell, so I sent a reply back to them calling them idiots for trying to sell gil I can farm myself for free. They did not reply.....

That's so fucking retarded. "Hello! Would you like to buy gil via a chat system that GM's can track and log whenever they want and ban you?"

Easy solution

Disable the ability to send initial tells, but you're able to respond once someone starts sending them to you.

That'll last about a day.

The way WoW handled it with their trial was that you couldn't send tells to people over a certain level range compared to you unless they sent you one first. But considering FFXI's leveling system, that wouldn't work at all.

Pre-level sync, it probably would've worked.
Now, not so much :/

No, They had it so you could only message the person if they had you on their friends list.

i dont even like the idea of giving this period of days for free to RMT's cus theres no way only normal and future players will test this free trial LIE SE u r selling gil as well with them lol XD

RMT tells don't annoy me I just /blist and call a GM >_>

their poor means of communication and cost of sending it(read: buying new ffxi disks to replaced the banned accts) really show how far they've fallen and how pathetic and funny it is to get hidden messages from a half assed network.

they are like those people try to sell their merchandises door to door lol

SE should put some limitation on free trial i think, like not allow to send over 100k of gil or something like that. normal new players wont be have tons of gil and gears giving to them unless from friends.

I got one POL message and no /tells ingame yet. Granted on I'm not really on all that much lately but still. I was online Tuesday and a few people in my LS got /tells from the same person (searching zones and going alphabetically I assume), but I never once got a /tell. The ppl that got them in my LS called GMs immediately and the wait on GM calls was already in the 3-digit range. I'm sure they were taken care of quite quickly.

I got one of those /tells yesterday. After I replied "Fuck you," I marveled that people would pay $40 for a million gil.

i got a message from an "afficial" i called a gm , he asked for day, time of message and what site they were advertising (hughcheap) . what i don't understand is that , i thought you had to be on my friend list to send a message. i wasn't even logged on when i got it .

i finally got the hugecheap POL email this morning. i was feeling quite left out :|

i haven't gotten an ingame tell though; but i have in mind what i'm going to tell the person who does send one to me...

nai tristam u shoudnt waste ur time answering them just /blist them they could search all players in game alpha. b/c they use the pol searcher so they dont even need to be really log at all SE is aware of this as well im sure ppl call them since the first day like crazy we r close to nov. dec. they need to make bussiness or they will be mad this is how far they went to make some money so basicly we r doing great if their bussiness is dying even if we see it slow is progressing this also answer ur question skreb i woudnt listen at all their msg but if it gets annoying i will end up calling another GM and done.
