To be blunt, yes. Our friendship had somewhat surpased this game and I didn't want to let that get in the way. I sure as hell wasn't happy with it, and let her know I was disapointed with it.
But if you're looking to come after me for not reporting another case of gil buying for "the good of the server", I don't expect that much out people. It's not new and it's not uncommon.

Can't say I have anything bad to say about Rolli. She was one of the first people I'd pt with on a regular basis. She's also one of the few who make an effort to talk to me. In a year and a half of knowing her, I've no complaints. Granted that's just my experience, and to each their own, but she's never wronged me in any way.

Court, chances are you are in fact friends with someone who has or does actively buy gil, even if they haven't told you out of shame/guilt/mistrust. It doesn't make it right, but seriously; if you knew that someone you called a friend in game was purchasing gil or items from RMT, would you disown said friend, or would you try to help that person see the error of his/her ways?

This game has it's own set of rules and has it's own scale when it comes to what's "Bad".
But we're not talkign about "bad" the term "imorale" was used, in jest I might add.
Buying gil = cheating = imorale.
The better analogy would be steroids. Sure you didn't hurt anyone but yourself, but you gave all those who rely on you an edge, as well as advance your own circumstances. Sure, you didn't "hurt" anyone, excpet all those who were affected by Gil seller Parties moving in and killing mobs so they can level, all the people that try to legitimately camp a NM so they can EARN thier way but had a troupe of gil sellers counter camping them, or the crafter that has a clan of gil sellers running down prices on sellable stuff and buying out the guilds, or the countless times we have had to have an update because the gil sellers found a new exploit.... I could go on....
The point is, YES buying gil is imorale. To the real life scale, no it's not killing a sack full of kittens, nor is it robbing a 7/11 at gunpoint, but its imorale. and since there's a lot of people that are affected by it, it's pretty fucking bad when scaled to where it matters: THE GAME. It's tantemount to hacking or botting. And considering there are pretty few "imorale" things you can do in game, it's ranked pretty high.
