Well technically if there was no gil being sold then no one could buy it. It works both ways.

Besides...gil sellers are a scapegoat as it was said in some thread a while back. Gil sellers are just who is blamed despite the fact that most people are greedy and put stuff on the AH for more cash whenever possible.

Not saying i agree with either buying or selling... but gil sellers/buyers are not the root of all evil despite what everyone thinks.

Um, summoner got hate after I died, I didn't have gil for oils or powders, and I had mentioned that ahead of time to the party. (waiting for stuff to sell at the ah)

The only reason I wanted fast exp was because I wanted off the PLD job, I told myself a while ago once I had full AF and was able to wear the it, Good Bye Paladin, because to be quite frank I'm bored to death with it, and I have been for a good while and I just wanted it to be over with.

And I tried to get the people to move, so did the people I knew, but the gil sellers insisted they stay.
 
True, no gil-buyers=no gil-sellers. And I do believe they aren't the entire problem. They are just a nice scapegoat (I did mention this somewhere). People just like to hide behind it and say.. "Oh they're the ones that raised the prices".

And I die plenty of times. I don't hate gil sellers as much as some people but I have made some comments about them before and I think it'd be kind of hypocritical of me to bash them and then accept help, knowing that I still won't really like them. And ya... them raising me is fine and dandy.. Asurathief, Hwang(or whatever his name is), counter-farming against me is just stupid. Farming against another player is fine to me. I know they'll use it. It's still annoying because I'm a little competitive that way...but losing to a gil seller who's not even going to use the item is just makes me mad. That's all.

I posted the voting thing in the general discussion. I just get the feeling that in regards to gil sellers is:

I hate them unless they help me somehow then I'll be alright with them.
 
While leveling my THF in the lower are of Garlaigh Citadel I was in a party that was being PL'ed by ElveenGirl and Rosehot and someone else who's name I unfortunately forget. I needed the XP too badly to question them or their motives, still do actually. Are they gil-sellers....I can't say because I've never seen them doing gil-seller-type-things. Live and let live I say so long as nobody is harming you.

What's so bad about taking a raise from a gilseller? I took an R3 from one once or twice, and I don't really care. The way I look at it, I took advantage of them, and they gained nothing from it. :twisted:
