Any good RPG's out there for the 360, I have been dieing to play one but not sure whats out there. Any suggestions??

well I can tell you the few off the top of my head that I have really enjoyed on that system.

Fallout 3- Shooter meets RPG. Definatley some rpg elements to this game, although not a traditional one by any means. Great game though. I think they just realeased a compilation disc edition of this which is great bang for the buck.

On that same note. I Loved Oblivion. More RPG than some people can even handle(my brother for instance). Totally open world, do whatever you want.

I just started playing Dragon Age, I can barely get my wifes hands off of it long enough to play any myself, but its neat as long as you dont mind a more linear story. Lots of party members. Oodles of gear and skills. Plays a bit like Knights of the old Republic and Baulders Gate.

If you are looking for more of a traditional RPG Lost Odyssey is decent. I would pick any of the other three over it though. I am sure others will have more to say on this matter.

Oblivion- It's 4, almost 5 years old now, but it's still fun

Fallout 3- I didn't get into this because I played so much Oblivion, I felt I was playing the same thing, except just a mod. I hear it was great though.

Lost Odyssey- Might be my personal favorite. If you like Final Fantasy, this is as close as it gets.

Tales of Vesperia- This with LO are the best rpg's on the 360 (jrpg anyway). This game was incredibly long, i mean 70+ hours if you feel like doing everything.

Star Ocean 4- I played it for roughly 15 hours, then returned it. I couldn't stand the characters. You might like it though.

Infinite Undiscovery- Played it for aboout 10 hours (story wise) and I just couldn't go any futher. The audio was terrible, and it sounded like they were talking in a studio the whole time instead of a real damn world.

Enchanted Arms- ugggh.

Ya I played Oblivion on PC, and the other morrowind elder scrolls games. They were fun. But ya looking along the lines of an FF game.

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are both good, both from the creative mind of Hironobu Sakaguchi, though LO is definitely better though, I'd get that one first to give Mistwalker titles a whirl.

And of course FFXIII releasing March 9th, 2010, and End of Eternity/Resonance of Fate releasing sometime next year, both are multi-platform though.

If Fallout qualifies as a RPG.. then I'd also recommend Borderlands. Talk about guns.. you won't find as many in any game as there are in Borderlands. There are skill trees, weapon upgrades, respawning enemies.. it's fun but it does get repetitious but I guess thats another RPG argument eh?

My favorite RPG on the 360 is definitely Lost Odyssey. Great characters, story, battle system, but lacks grinding levels. Well there are ways to do it kind of, like going to an area that is way too high for you, finding single enemies and enfeebling them enough to kill at a low level. But other than that it tries to stop you from getting too high of a level for the point you are in the game.

And also Fallout 3. I like fallout 3 more than lost odyssey, but to me it's not the same type of rpg. It's basically oblivion with guns, I played a ton of oblivion, and fallout. But enjoyed fallout more.

Both games should be lower in price, they have been out for a good while. And I've heard alot of good things about dragon age, but yet to play it.

Haha yeah I know the place you're talking about. You can go there and a get a level a fight for about ten straight times lol.

I found lost odyssey incredibly boring and bland and pretty much everything that is wrong with JRPGs. I found it slow, wordy and I felt the battle was all show and no substance. Maybe I've been spoiled by more action oriented rpgs

I loved lost odyssey, i still return to play it on occasion. Tales of Vesperia was a great game also.
But my personal fave RPG on the 360 is Eternal Sonata. Its just beautiful in HD, and has that classy kind of feel when it comes to the life and death of chopin.

I hated blue dragon, hearing the same song over and over and over was just too much of an annoyance. I also dont like digging through poo to find treasure.
Ive still barely played Infinite Undiscovery.
Im still in the middle of Magna Carta II.
Loved Star Ocean, But hated the character Lyml. If it wasnt for her, the game woulda been perfect for me.

Eternal Sonata, Magnacarta 2, and Blue Dragon are my favorites on the system. However, if you own a PS3 Eternal Sonata is infinitely better on it.

Most people will say that is what makes JRPG a JRPG and that is why we play them. I enjoy the wordy cutscenes, which remind me of a movie.

I enjoy western RPG's like Morrowind and Oblivion which don't have any at all, but please don't change my JRPG's to all action and no substance.

Oh crap! I forgot about my favorite game this gen. Mass Effect! Mass Effect 2 comes out in Jan.

I suppose you're right, maybe after 15 years I'm finally getting sick of them.

I'm still wishin' they'd get back to them, all the way back. Imagine a game like The Legend of Dragoon or Final Fantasy (any # pre X-2) this gen, not remakes, new games. I'd kill for that shit.

Yeah I just bought FFVII and VIII for my PSPgo and i've been replaying VIII since I only played it once when it first come out. To this day, those games still have better dialogue (written anyway) then fully voiced games. They have more detail then most of the 3D worlds that came with X and on. Seriously, pre-rendered CG backgrounds might have gone out of style in 99, but dang, for some reason, they give the game something that I can't quite put my finger on.

The Legend of Dragoon

That game was amazing! I really wish more people knew about it, cause it was definitely just as fun as FF7, 8, 9, 10. And had a great story too.

Personally I thought it was better than 7 for several reasons...but that's just me. I still have my discs lol and play on my ps3 occasionally.

You should check out mass effect, About 40 hours of gameplay if you do all the sidequests, specially with Mass Effect 2 comming out this month, you can also upload your ME1 Character into 2, great game with good replay value.

Eh, Mass effect was fun, and I put a ton of hours into it. But every single planet is the exact same. Not the design of the planet, but everything you do on each planet. Even the buildings on the planets are basically copied and pasted.
