Only your own race/gender
Google "ffxi elvaan male RSE times" there are a bunch of websites that tell you when and where to go for your RSE.

You can get the key at any time, but you have to open the chest during your race/gender week. The link I posted will give you up to 40 upcoming dates/times, so you could go ahead of time for a key and then just pop in for chest-findyness when it's your time.

thanks for the replies.
only your own gender/race huh?
/sigh
i just need the gil :?
its not that i don't know the times, its that i keep missing them.
like this last elvaan/male week, i could not log-on until there was only two (IRL) hours left on it. i got the key i less than 30 minutes with a gimped THF15 sub, but i never did find that treasure chest.
now my next RSE date is on a static PT day. decision, decision.
