So reeve, what's goin on?

Do you have a plan for a set of rules? Are we gonna make the rules as a community? Are perma-banned members going to be allowed back? Are ya gonna re-open the flameboard?

As it goes now, I suppose anyone can say or do anything they want (within reason) without bein suspended or banned. No?
 
suggestion one to improve the forums, bann/ip block/hack and erase the hard drive and random registry files of peregrine.
suggestion two to improve the forums.. put marajade on read only

Peregrin is an asshole. He doesn't spam new threads, he doesn't break the boards. He has been known to let a small nugget of usefulness slip into a post every now and then.

He has done plenty to be added to my ignore list, and nothing to warrent being banned.
 
I have to go with #2. I mean Mara on read only would be sweet.
 
Marajade on Read only and ban blazn? That's 2 people.

That's why you ban their IP, so that they cannot access the website from that location. Technically they could go somewhere else and make a new account, but most of the time banned people don't do that.
 
IP is their address right? The admin has access to that? Can't the person banned just change their IP?

give blazn/kire the [gm]dave package, perma ban delete and mail incinerary device... and to make this include more then one person, read-only on marajade.

IP adress is the string of numbers that identifies your connection point. And sure you could say your IP is somewhere else. Try changing your mailing adress and see if your mail comes to your house :P

Yes, it's their internet address, and it's set by your ISP, so you can't change it easily, if at all. If you are inside of a LAN, like at a university or at an office or something, there is an internal IP address that's used to distinguish between computers on the LAN which is very easy to change; but as far as QCDN is concerned, they're all one computer so they'd all be banned.
 
Who needs to ban people when I can verbally smack around anyone who gets out of line?

As for rules, they are being reviewed.
