:O Has anyone ever played runescape or would like to try to? Do you already have an account but need help making money or player killing (pk'ing)?
For those who never heard about Runescape and would like to learn about it, its a FREE online MMO @ runescape.com. There are 3 jobs (more than you think) ranger, mage, and melee.
A mage is a magic user that casts spells by using runes instead of mp. There are several types of runes. The basic Air, Fire, Water, and Earth runes, Damaging/Projectile/Striking runes used for damaging Mind (low) Chaos(Medium), Death (High), Body runes for enfeebs, Law runes to bend time and space used for teleporting for instance, Nature runes for alchemy, and binding with vines, and Cosmic runes for enchanting equipment. To cast spells you must have the combination of runes the spell requires. For instance: Wind Strike (low level damaging spell max 2 damage) 1 mind rune 1 air rune. They have magic staves that make you have an infinite amount of the element of the staff (basic only). So If you need unlimited air runes you would equip it and only have to carry mind runes to cast air strike. They wear Robes for Magic Attack and have bad defense against arrows and are good when it comes to fighting melees since they have bad defense.

Rangers are almost the same in this game as they are in FFXI. They use bows, longbows and crossbows, with bolts and arrows. Bows are more accurate, faster, and have different types of arrows (bronze-low to Adaman- high) Crossbows are more powerful but less acurate and only use one type of bolt. Rangers have several types of attacking styles, accurate, Rapid, and long range. They wear leather and dragon armor for range accuracy and have good magic defense, but are bad at fighting melees since they have high defense.

Melees are the hand to hand close combat type. They use many types of weapons from slow to fast. Daggers are the fastest and weakest to Two handed swords slowest and strongest. Weapons are the same as arrows and are made of metal bronze-rune.(Rune is the best type of metal in game). Melees level Strength for max damage, Attack for acc and better weapons (for examplel steel requires 5 attack to wield). They have poor magic defense but are best for fighting rangers since they have high defense.

Be back to explain how to level and the crafts of Runescape.

BTW lol I forgot to post the name of the site.
www.runescape.com

Theres a manual there I forgot about that explains mostly anything you would need to know about jobs, crafting, weapons, ect. If the manual isn't enough you can visit tip.it/runescapetip.it/runescape.

I:O The best part about runescape is the PKing "player killing". It is when you fight other players to the death (unless they run or teleport). The world of Runescape is split into two parts: the wild, which is located in the north parts of runescape; the safe towns, dungeons, and areas where you can't be killed by another player takes up the rest of the world.

:O In the wild there are multi combat areas, areas where you can be attacked by more than one person your level, and single combat areas, where you can one on one players your level. The deeper you go in the wild the more the level range you can fight, for example, If your combat level 22 in the level 2 wild you can attack players within a range of 2 combat levels, meaning levels 20-24 can attack you. Past level 25 wild you cannot teleport out and the wild goes up to 50. Normally when you die you lose everything you have except for the 3 most important items you have, but if one attacks a player, the player that attacked first will get a skull icon above them. Players that die with a skull on them lose everythiing they have, and can only take the skull away by dieing or not attacking a player for about 10 mins.

The wild is where most people come to make money and pking friends. :o It's funny to have a bunch of mages in deep enough so they aren't on the compass and make it look like there is only one of you, then have all of you jump one player hitting higher than he can eat his food making him drop most of his stuff or all if he had a skull. Like FFXI some people are trustworthy, and others will stab you in the back.
I like Runescape because of the wild and making friends to own people. Its a game where you can scam people in the wild and not have any consequences. :O Its a free game and you can make as many accounts as you want. :O Just trying to say try it, because after your first pk you will love the game as I do lol.
I'll be on weekdays 1:30p.m. - 9ish p.m. and weekends from when I wake up to when I go to sleep.

PKing account = Troy el Pure level 17 atm Combat type = hybrid pure. meaning I'm a combination of melee, mage, ranger. You can level all 3 and still have almost the same stats as a pure type.

(Pure = a person with 1 defense to have their combat level low(Use the combat calculator on Tip.it/runescape to find out how many magic range prayer ect points you need to level) and only trains either magic range, str or/and attack. For example a mage and ranger hybrid be level 17 with 25 magic and 25 range, and a mage pure would have less hp and about 1 level higher magic than the hybrid. Its good because you can switch types if your fighting someone thats weak against ur style of fighing.

L8ers for now

Never... Ever... Ever play this game... seriously.

You thought FFXI was bad for noobs, that game... omg.

I was a level 94 on that game (look me up on hiscores - Blabj) and it was a serious waste of my life. I got 84 (?) cooking on it... I could have spent that time playing Final Fantasy XI and actually having fun...

Most of the time you'll find yourself laying waste to noobs in the wildy why they try to scam you... You'll find a decent group of people (if you're seriously playing... See if Danaka, Meepers9, sophieclew are still playing... They're good people.) and you might join a clan, but FFXI has alot more to offer in terms of gameplay.

Runescape only has one redeeming factor - its price.

The irony is, many people actually choose to pay to play it - thus removing its only redeeming value. Whoops!

Yeah its thats true, but for people who don't have time to look for group or want a less intense and cheap mmo Runescape is the game for j00.

If they want a less intense and cheap gaming experience they could go with one of dozens of console or single player offerings, all of which would trounce Runeclickontherockscape.

I tried to play it a while back.
The controls sucked and I couldnt figure out what the hell to do.

LOL a 13 yr old son of a friend of mine had to log onto my account and get me throught the tutorial.... enough said.

I played that game a long time ago... got tired of it FAST

eww that game is for retarded people who have no lives, at least some people in ffxi who play ffxi dont have lives, but have good taste... XD jk

My brother plays that game, i hate him for it. So very very much. People walk around in that game 24/7 asking for boyfriends and girlfriends and there are n00bs like no other game i've ever seen. Not to mention how terrible the gameplay is.

It all depends on your taste of gameplay... If you like a game that changes over time, for better or worse, takes over one month to make a mil, takes literally months to get your endgame armor, Final Fantasy XI is for you. If you like a game where you can solo, kill people you hate without having to worry about your rep, being able to move servers when ever you'd like to, Runescape is the game for you.

I've had my end-game taste of both games, I'm siding with Runescape because it is a game where you don't have to play 7 days a week to gain 1 level, a game where you don't have to deal with people being to lazy to take down gil-sellers, a game where people don't use flameboards when they can easily duel them for whatever.

:O I'm not saying Final Fantasy is a slow game, but I'd rather level up to 50 my first time around in a week then to have to make a damn schedule to play a to party or not to party game.

:o Try it, if you don't understand the concept of CTRL and click game you can go back to your "life" in FFXI. To those who are actually willing to try Runescape post and I'll help you get started ingame.

Runescape: The game that bans users for clicking in one spot too many times per second.

Runescape: Because everyone loves clicking a rock nonstop for days on end.

my 2 brothers play this game because they dont get enough time to play ffxi. (also they on dial up)

I tried playing the game. Horrible graphics, the PK crap nomatter where you go is just stupid...couldn't figure out what to do, EVERY name is taken...amazingly, this game makes Dofus look good, and that's REALLY REALLY REALLY saying something.

And Graal (back before it went to sh-!t) would totally run circles around this game in funness. =/
