thats odd, the only way i know of losing claim and still having hate is disengaging or having no interaction with the mob for a certain amount of time.

Yeah if you go to the jp playonline site they tell you how to steal claimed mobs. They said it works best with MNK, DRG, and THF. I can't wait to get home and do this.
