I think the name says it all... i've sent my stuff to where it's going and i'm quitting FFXI... i've been playing for a long time and i've seen friend after friend quit, some great ones were Tempes, Aldiel, Soniax, Icyblue, Reficul, YB... Ninjai, you gave me one of my Linkshells and farewell to baj and mexi, the only 2 GamerHQ i know to be left... i give a /farewell out to Qutera wherever she is and i hope everyone i didn't list is doing good too.

I've loved this game since i started at NA PC release, loved most everything about it... death, the dunes... frustrations and challenges... But one thing i didn't like is some of the crap that is my fortune... 0/144 on NM's worth anything... i picked a job i loved and tried to take that to the end but i found out something... the only way i'm gonna get enough gil to play the job and char i want is to spend millions i don't have on another job just to farm... i'm not going to.
I've devoted a large part of my time playing on the rest of the world... it's funny, i started as whm because i just liked to help people... then i found out the best way to help is have power so i took up a job with a bit more power... i spent half my play time doing stuff for other people and getting little in return, here's my list of people who've done things for ME, you have my thanks
Cyro, you kept it real and kept the fun in the game, you always tried to get me my mission, my ZM's and my CoP, thanks for everything
Seig, for keeping me in there when i was giving up, best of luck
asia, for being the older and wiser and always putting up with me, you're too cool
rayn, For being the first person to say 'you still don't have your AF? that's BS' and making it happen, you're the man
kyora, For always being there ready to help or die for the cause, i'll miss you. thanks for the eldieme coffer help

Hailie, you make this list because i fell in love with ballista and all my best moments of ballista were with you or against you.

DD, its sad to see you go. I know there have been some frustrating times, but there are other ways to make gil besides farming and NMs which mages can do extremely well. Well take care in RL and hope to see you stick around the boards or possibly pop in the ls from time to time (if your account isn't deleted). If you ever wanna get back into the game you know wehre to look for help :-D. Once again, take care

Ah bummer. :( Sorry to see you go Dark. Wish I could've been on the same times you were. I've felt like quitting on and off myself the last month or so, but I'm not quite ready to yet, almost got G3 done and I'm about to move back to the states so I think I'll get a second (or third or fourth XD) wind going real soon here. Take care and good luck in your future endeavors. 8)

dont quit just becuase you cant make gil... look at me, i prolly hardly never famred in the game and my NM drops suck so much... i just do small things ie: quests and stuff.... maybe get lv.70 and get HNMs/Gods maybe? i always seem to get gil from lots of stuff, farm elementals? its easy, if you decide not to quit.. /tell me in game and ill help ya ^^;
 
the account has been cancelled and the rest of the month is goodbyes... That's all there is to it.

I was going to quit cuz of gil alsoWas awat for 2 3 weeks but came back.This week was lucky for me.Aldiel was the fist guy on my budd list along with shaq when i used to be level 5 or something...He was away for 5 6 months and came back but i think he quit again :( anyways goodluck

Yeah, i miss tempes too. he helped me out w/ alot of shit, and we kept in good contact. too bad his work schedule got too hectic
 
Sorry to see you go man, you were awesome. Helping out with the low-level static we had goin for a while and all. Just remember, SE has a player return program where you can retrieve lost chars until after like the end of June. Hope to see you back someday.

ive been in party with ya before and seen ya around a lot, hell, you named half people i see / associate alot with.

When i decided to quit i was firm in resolve and very aware of what i was doing not to mention sure of my choice... but due to a ridiculous amount of /tells protesting my leaving i'm going to stay... if i can accomplish these goals by the end of the month

A) get an elemental torque and still have enough gil to afford to party and buy my spells (i'm halfway to affording this and the price is only rising).

B) get through promyvions.

C) kill an NM and get a drop worth 30k or more.

If i do all 3 of those I will sign up for the next month... we'll see from there.... that's about all i see as needing to rekindle a semblance of liking of this game instead of the seething hatred i feel towards this game and SE...
