I just made the biggest one I can make in my life so far besides dying for someone else.
I have a friend named Daiva, we met playing Counter Strike 1.6. We've known each other for 3 years. And today was the first day I met her. Just now how it was supposed to happen. Her and her family came down to Orlando for the new year. I was going up today to spend then night with them, and then go to Disney with them tomorrow for the celebration. Do to a lack of communication, I thought her mom knew who I was. As in, I was a friend of hers she met online. Come to find, she never knew. So Daiva wanted to lie and say I was a friend of a friend who moved down to FL from NJ a couple years ago. I said no, and to tell her the truth, 'cause I would rather chance the truth then get caught in a lie. So she did and her mom was entirely against me staying/visiting with them, even meeting them in the park and me sleeping somewhere else. So what ended up happening was that while she broke the news to her mom I was a five minute walk away. So I'm like. I'm not giving up driving 2 hours to see her to not see her. I walked into the hotel parking lot in front of their room, she was on the 5th floor and she looked down at me and I looked up at her. We both knew I'm not stepping into that room, but she was able to come out and hang with me for like 10 minutes. I gave her a hat of sentimental value between our friendship and I received a friendship bracelet from her (Corney but it means a lot to me). So pretty much, waiting 3 years to visit her, it turned out to be a 10 minute visit and not a whole day. So I come back down to Tampa, depressed and crying as all hell. Now I'm home, and I keep telling myself. 10 minutes was better then none.
I'm sure people are asking why I'm being so emo, other may think different, but honestly. Does anyone make sacrifices like this anymore? And takes such a fall? For the greater good, and to be respectful? People don't really know what a sacrifice is until they're forced to give something up. Sorry for the soap box but it's reality, and it reality, and it f*cking sucks right now.
