I was leveling WHM in Dunes and I'm pting with this person named Salva. First, he afks for 5 minutes (anything over 3 minutes is inappropriate in my mind), now he says it was to smoke, so I can understand. But what happened next just pisses me off.

He was the tank and was losing HP fast, and I am pouring all of my mp into curing him as fast an often as possible.

He dies for the third time.

Me in pt mode: Man, we need to spread out tanking.
Salva in pt mode: No, whm needs to cure
Me in pt mode: I am recasting as often as possible.
Salva in pt mode: LOL
Me in pt mode: How is it funny? There is a recast time. I can't chaincast, that is a rdm ability.
Salva in /tell mode: You are just slow.
Me in /tell mode: No, I am casting as often as possible.
Salva in /tell mode: I have wmg too.
Me in /tell mode: Then you should know about the recast time.
Me in /tell mode: Welcome to my blacklist.

I'm sorry, but I was taking less damage from the mobs then this guy and I'm a whm. (he's a war). We were same level. Could it be he needs a few more def points?

Plus every time this guy died it was from bomb toss and I was like 90% into cure2. Just a run of bad luck.

I was mostly upset about this guy blameing this entirely on me. People do that way to often. Maybe everyone died because people are irresponsibly pulling, or because people are using sucky equipment and have low defense. (note: these are just examples and are not in refrence to the pt I had today, the puller was quite good.)

WHMs don't pt with this guy unless you like being blamed for everything.
 
Frequent Cure II's in at dunes appropriate levels?

Yes, it was sad how many times Salva had to be cure 2'd. I often had to switch between cure and cure 2 just to prevent him from dying.
 
Hm... I pt'ed with the guy a couple days ago in Valkurm Dunes, and I didn't have much of a problem with him. His equipment was not horrible since he was wearing full scale at lvl 11. As for tanking he was doing his job decently well, and he never died. Our whm didn't have Cure II and he never got close to death, so I don't know what the problem was in your PT. We were getting some good EXP and I pretty much got a from lvl 11 to 12 in about 45mins. As for how he is as a person... I wouldn't know because we were too busy killing mobs to talk.

Was your pt taking gobs? Because the problems started when we started taking gobs. Bomb toss sucks. :( Still, I'm less upset about us getting our asses kicked than I am about him being a jerk.

BTW, I wasn't stating that his equipment sucked. I was just talking about people being asses to whms in general when it's their own fault.

or maybe im just to tolerant..... im yet to blacklist someone.
 
Drewtaru blacklisted me because I kept commenting on his RUNE Baghnakhs... Get it...

Then he suggested I get a Rune STAFF, and told me where I can shove it! :shock:

Shout spammers I remove after a few days. I just blacklist them so I don't have to listen to that crap.
 
Err, I posted that reply to the wrong thread. I recently started a thread that had something to do with blacklisting as well. I must've gotten confused and thought that post had to do with the other one.

Sorry if I appeared like a weirdo. :lol:

Sorry to hear about your experience. On the flip side, I've partied up with Salva before, and I've never had any problems with him. Point in fact, he's been spot-on whenever I was in a group with him (erm, both times...)

So I dunno if you caught Salva on a bad day, or what, but I've found Salva to be a capable and approachable player.
