Seriously ceral guys. Keep the fucking flames INSIDE the flameboard. If you have something negative to say, why not take it to the flameboard. This was the whole reason we had it reinstated.

Congrats on the successful salvage, but I moved this to the flameboard.

I'm going to talk to Reeve about strictly enforcing the negative comments/flames outside of the flameboard. We did just brush it under the rug but.. well, if the children can't behave.

It's because some people have to get their jabs everywhere. No longer are they content on flaming someone inside the right area; OHNO, they have to do it outside as well!
 
This should never of even made it to the flameboard. The negative threads should of been deleted and the thread should of been locked, by moving it here your just promoting derailing

It's not like I'm actually calling him a rapist, but what he did was very serious. And saying "He hasn't done it in a long time" doesn't cut it. He did it. It doesn't matter how often he did it, or how long ago he did. He cheated.

Rape is a very easy way to ruin your real life. Hacking in an MMO is a very easy way to ruin your in-game one.

Obviously people have something to say, so they can say it in the right place.

Deleting negative comments & locking threads just makes me look like a ass. & I try really hard not to cultivate that image. So, I put it here so people can yell at Grayswander for hacking to their content. Plus, I can get in a few jabs at them being complete and utter morons for flaming a Good Times topic because flameboard is free reign.

Yeah, but it is a game. I mean, I wouldn't have said anything if you would've likened it to.. cheating on a test. It's basically the same moral code that goes into both of those crimes. Hacking in an MMO can very easily ruin your in-game one, but MMO's have restart buttons & different servers. Life doesn't.
 
I suppose this is a lesson learned. Don't want your accomplishments turn for the worse, don't take along people who have done questionable things in the past. It's better to just leave that kind of garbage at the curb, to wait for the truck to take them away.

If you really want to believe hacking is as minor as peering over someones shoulder to get an answer, you're off your rocker. I already said what kind of cheating would be equal to petty wrongs. Hacking isn't one of them.

Well said. Maybe I am off my rocker. However, I wasn't talking about hacking in general; I was just talking about it in FFXI. But, opinions can differ.

What lessons learned? I'd rather take a friend that was known to hack and no longer does then some person I dont know. And Grayswander is one of the Paladins that actualy knows how to play his job.

*cough* and that's why I hold people to such high standards when I can show how they're being hypocritical. 5% of this board think they're the FFXI-Police. It's one thing to try and expose hacking, but to chase after people and try and punish anyone who'll have anything to do with them as if that's the right way to go about it, while they'll have ex-hackers in their own linkshell saying they should get a "second chance," or buy pop items from cheaters if it saves them time, or use programs to hack the server to get TP information or windower-bots because it's alright to break the ToS on their own terms.

Such flaming bullshit.
 
It's only unfair when others cheat to get an edge over me, when I cheat it's harmless to everyone that matters (me)
