Sam/Drg..... a good combo?

The above is something ive been thinking of long term.
Is this a good combo? I have yet to see a Sam/Drg so i was just wondering.
Also can any Drg's out there give me a little advice on the Drg quest?
The "defeat the dragon" part worries me lol

i would say is ok but u cant use ur pet dragon cause its ur two hour. i would recamend the other way around. but thats just me if u want to do it its up to u.

sorry..but its not good. 50% of a DRG is the pet dragon...and then the only job abilities you would get would be jump which isn't the best till super jump which is level 50 which means you will never get it. DRG/SAM would mean you are a DRG with a spear and a little bluye dude using multiple weapon skills and collecting tons of tp bonuses due to your sam's traits. You will also recieve the job abilties 3rd eye meditate (and i think there is another one).

if you want SAM as a main i would recomend SAM/WAR SAM/MNK SAM/DRK (attack is good) SAM/THF (i love sneak attack *drool*)

unfortunately, java is right, sam/drg isnt the greatest combo simply because dragoon abilities arent that great as a sub. Before i started FF, i wanted to go that combo until i found out that the ultimate cant be that of a sub. A samurai walking around with a dragon pet wouldve been badazz. the better combo would be the other way around drg/sam. I seriously wish we were able to choose which ultimate we want from whatever are main or subjob was cuz id go sam/drg in a heartbeat if i had the dragon ultimate. From the combos java gave, the one i like most was sam/drk....or even better, drk/sam (suicide knight). The attack and tp bonuses are insane, so insane that u really need to hold back because ull get so much aggro ull commit suicide. Its a really fun class to play. Im thinking ur kinda like me and wanna be one of the kind, the individual and play a not commonly combod class. Its really fun, i can tell u that, but unfortunately, theres a lot of bias when it comes to class combos in groups.

advice for SAM? GET HELP!!!! you can kill the bomb enemy you need to kill with about 4 people of your level. But the tree is gonna be HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we took a party in my LS of all the high levels me and someone who needed it. 3 BLM 1 DRK/WAR 1something and 1 RDM. We beat its giant tree @$$ down. then when i needed it i had a level 73 DRG/WHM teleport us close to the temple of Zi'tah and then go in and kill the tree.

If you're level 30 yet, asiamise, you can come along with me when I fight my SAM quest NMs. I should be doing it really soon, and I've already got help from people in my LS. So far we've got a 51 DRK, a 50 RDM, possibly a 42 NIN, a 30 RDM, and me (a 30 THF). We may have more once we actually get going, so the NMs will be a piece of cake (our DRK can solo the Forger, and the DRK and the 50 RDM could take on the Guardian Treant on their own). So anyway, when you're ready to do it, just send me a /tell. Oh, and if you need help getting to Norg to accept the quest, I might be heading there soon to get the Tonko: Ichi quest once I get my NIN to 9 or 10, so send me a /tell if that's case. ^^

i'm a drg/sam and it is very good. store tp from sam equals faster tp gain and more penta thrust action. as for the wyverns breath, there isn't much difference from any other damage dealer subjob. i used drk for a little while and then used sam and there wasn't any significant change

edit: lol it would seem i read the forum title wrong. thought it was drg/sam. sorry again^^

well asiamise if you need help gimme a /tell in game. It seems i've become the dragon slayer type guy as of late, helping various people kill the dragons. So far i've killed the bastok dragon for rank 3 about 5 times now, and i have killed the windurst dragon once ^_^. it's rather simple, and i'd be glad to help.

ur drk should be able to solo guardian treant too ^^ i did it without much difficulty at lvl 51

btw lecan for the drg quest drg u need to be lvl 50+ to solo. ur talking about mission 2-3 dragon which is a lvl 25 cap

i know i couldn't solo the dragon for the dragoon quest, i was just offering to help. Hell, i might even be able to get my friend Reaper (who never misses a dragon fight if he knows about it) to help us out. I am well aware of the cap for the rank 2-3 fight and the fact i wouldn't be much help alone on the fight. ^_^V
