It seems SE found a use to those NMs.

Apparently, if you feed it enough TP it will use a move that swallows you and warp you to the assault-type areas like gohyu reeverie (sp), where you can fight serket, king athro and something else, probably one NM per country.

This is quite the interesting idea. Additionally from what I read, it seems the NM are quite juiced up compared to their normal counterparts.
 
Well, at the very least you won't see Sandworms being untouched during Rolanberry Fields Campaigns now.

I remember a Sandworm terrorizing the battlefield during a 5-hour-long continual Campaign attack about a month ago, and Zaltana and I were effectively begging the entire lot of 75's (total over 25 in the immediate area) to assist in just killing the thing. People were more content with letting it rape everyone rather than trying to do something about it.

Although, it was hilarious to see Scwall go apeshit on it with his Octave Club and get summarily demolished.

I did not see any confirmation on whether or not the BC-style versions of those NM's drop the items their current-day counterparts do or not?

Can anyone attest to this fact? Fun as it would be to kill a stronger, faster Serket (lol Bionic Scorpion) in the past, it'd feel kinda lame to do it only to find it doesn't drop jack squat.

Well I doubt it drops nothing. Whether it drops something new or old drops wont be known till someone kills it.
 
It'd be the absolute slap in the face to those scrub RMT-style shells who attempt to capitalize on these HNMs if they do...no?

Knowing SE, they will implement the drops within the next 6-8 months.
