Since the update, anyone notice Sanguine Blade actually being good? Was just fiddling around and drained 400ish with 100 TP and around 600-800ish at 300 consistantly.

It's better than it was, but if you don't have a good INT/MAB set, it's likely to be only slightly more useful than before.

I hit 1100 in Einherjar against a Flan and was doing ~870 against mandies in abyssea.

While I'm sure you can optimize its use with gear, I don't particularly agree with the latter part of the sentence. With the numbers we have been seeing, it seems to be more effective than a Cure IV or better depending on what you are fighting, giving us better MP conservation and survivability in certain situations.

Situational of course, but still marginally better than what it was, and more reliably consistant damage than most other sword WS against higher end enemies.

p.s., Unless you were replying to Nicholette, which still makes about as much sense as it would if you had been replying to me.

p.p.s., TP has nothing to do with the damage of Sanguine Blade, only the amount of the damage converted to HP. It's right there in the in-game description.

p.p.p.s., I've never said that Sanguine Blade was bad; it's my #1 go-to WS for BLU on anything that doesn't resist the darkness element.

I apologize. I meant substantially, not marginally. Mistake of word choice.

Sanguine blade has been rocking it. I have hit 1000+ with it. That's pretty sick!
