I don't think some people are taking the game too seriously, it should be more directed at this board and community. For the longest time RMT action had been despised on this board. People always seemed to get up in arms when it came to that talk. Now all of the sudden it's okay because it wasn't some Chinese person who we knew nothing of?

I'm not going to sit here and make arguments that have calculations and point to your integrity...but basically the next quote sums up the way I feel.

I think i need to shower after saying this I totally agree with Rappa and Audino.

Ive played this game for a long time, I have been through all the RMTs ups and downs with them owning money HNMs cassie serket simurgh ect, I went through them in Sky with Fury when we couldn't claim a simple Ullikummi for months cause they claimed him every time usually with warp hacking, Ive personally got my account hacked and had everything taken from me and lost my account for 4 months, all from RMT.

I have plenty of reason to be angry and bitter and "HATE" them but I never did. All through this Ive witnessed "many" people say the most racist and ignorant insensitive shit about them, seen posts after posts about how much they ruin this game, listen to people shout about it, watched people flame colbwa and that elvaan smn/whm/nin girl (forgot her name) about how horrible they are for helping RMT with serket/cassie, omg she does dynamis with them, they are horrible people, don't talk to them, don't help them, blist them.

It's just so freaking funny how two sided everyone is. I myself try not to take my morality's and place them on other people cause everyone came and grew up in a different place than me so I try to accept people for who they are.

GL Sanoske i don't agree with what you did, I had the same view as Zoolander wish you would of sold the gil on your own on ebay or something than to support and help the people that have ruined so much.

If you've spoken out against RMT in the past, you can't support Sanoske here. If you break the TOS in any way, even windower, you can't use the TOS as an argument. I think supporting RMT is wrong. When I quit, I gave what little I had to friends, and let an AF clad blm rest in peace in his moghouse in the event that I, too, had the urge to return to FFXI. I don't like burning bridges. He didn't need to rmt for that because any decent human where he and most of us came from can get a decent job to pay for that or even better, parents to pay it for us until we can get by on our own.

I cant stand gil buyers. The funny thing is that one cannot live without the other so if there were not people buying there wouldnt be anything to be gained from selling.

Congrats Sano you made some RL money for all the time you put into the game. Anyone who says they would turn down 4k when they dont intend on coming back is a hypocrite because i fully intend on selling all of my gil off when i quit although i doubt i will get nearly that much for my stuff if a market even exists by time i quit.

I dont think i will sell the character though... that seems a bit too personal for me.

I think that if you make so many friends over years of playing and you just openly come out and say "Fuck you, I just made *cash amount here* by treating all our fun times together as nothing but profit" that you're nothing but a dick in RL.

I still stand by my opinion. You did it over time, it was fucking wrong and shitty of you to do. You say its not "effecting anyone but me" but its effecting everyone by feeding the RMT that continue to hack accounts, monopolize the AH and speed level crafting. The only people who are getting bent out of shape over this are people who never actually knew me in game, or talked to me at all for a length of time. All of the people who I considered close friends both in-game and out, have had no problem with this fiasco. They laugh and say "You're an idiot", but there's no feeling of me giving them any kind of "slap in the face", as so many people here have put it.

I can understand those who now apparently feel I'm the anti-christ for selling my gil based on the effect of RMT within the game. I have no regrets, but I'm not going to say it was anything less than what it really was. But I really do not understand how sooooo many are feeling that this is a personal insult.

I truly never intended the post in that way, although I should have considered that option. I would say that my thought process was along the lines of "I wouldn't care either way on a personal level", as happened with the Chasym post. In the context of FFXI, yea it sucked. In the general scheme of things... who cares?

When Chasym posts about something on the Off-Topic or Reality Sinks In... board my mind doesn't immediately fly to "OMG He hacked! His point is clearly invalid and I can never take him seriously about aaaannnything.", but hey, that's just me. However, that route of coversation is just going to begin talk of how I'm tainted, biased, and obviously my soul is stained with dead puppies and such(which also means I am a scoundrel IRL, of course)... so I'll refrain from anything further on that.

I did what I did to get out of the game, and this has done a splendid job of detaching me from the game I enjoyed and played so much over the last 5 years. So, in the end it works out. I break whatever hold the game may have still had on me, and you get to throw out some trash. So.... carry on calling me whatever you feel is necessary, this is my last post for the topic.
