Oh, and just to specify, I'm not implying that friends who aren't talking to me tomorrow don't matter. Because so far, everyone that I considered a friend is still such.

His friends should be banned for knowing he was selling gil? Because only Sano and Odon admitted to it and have since quit. I don't really understand what you're getting at.
 
Damn, Sano, I really enjoyed our CoP static. Hope the $4k pricetag on your integrity was worth it.
 
Well if they have all quit, I guess it really doesnt matter than. They screwed the system and got away with it. Like so many others.
 
Shit, I was never the tightest with Sano, but he and I have always been cool and courteous with each other. Couldn't really ask for anything else in a fellow gamer. I've never traded gil, hacked or even used windower, but I guess I should be banned from the game due to being on the friendly side with Sanoske. That makes no sense at all.

I mean fuck, I dont care who you are if i know you and you tell me that your ass is selling gil or some shit like that, you better believe I will turn your ass in. Call me a snitch or what ever you like. Thats just how I feel.

You're speaking Enlgish, you just need to consolidate your thoughts. You keep backing up over your own words. I know what you were trying to say, but like I said... it doesn't really add up, for reasons that both Sneaky and Mire pointed out.

My bad. I missed the distinction, but thanks for pointing it out so I can reevaluate. Makes more sense now. You should consider admitting some things as well.

I might call you a snitch, but if you were to turn in a friend, that would show what kind of friend you were. Perhaps you don't condone it and even really dislike it, but if you otherwise had a good friendship and turned someone in for that, that's pretty low. On one hand we've got someone that violates the EULA in FFXI. On the other, someone who supposedly puts much value in friendship, yet would turn a friend in for something like this. Ultimately, your actions would speak volumes as to what you thought of that friend and the friendship. Notice all the folks that knew what Sano was doing...They were all his friends and still are. If they had turned him in, you think that would do wonders for their friendship? It's clear what's most important to you.
 
11 pages... way too long to bother reading. If it hasn't been said, anyone who didn't know he was selling gil 2 years ago... considering he had a lot of good gear get sold and nothing to show for it in the way of purchases had people speculating back then. All this does is confirm it. What more is there to argue or point out?

he always had amazing gear, he made most of it himself.

gil only goes so far, when you have up into the hundreds of millions you either blow it all on relics or something or just let it sit around

..or sell it, I guess

Honesty and integrity are whats important to me in my friends. I'm sorry if those standards are too high for some people, thats just how I am. I am honest with my friends and vise versa. If one of them came out and told me that they were involved in something of that sort in game I would no longer be friends with them because then our friendship would be void. Without trust there is nothing. And if you cant stop yourself from doing something retarded like this, then I will be glad to help you stop yourself.

I was wondering why did you post image of yourself selling your gil? Are you trying to get attention? And if you quit FFXI, why are you still in qcdn?

I don't know why you post yourself selling gil, but if you have just said i quit ffxi on Good Time thread this wouldn't have ever happen. and we will never know about you being RMT.


Showing yourself selling gil doesn't make you cool. So you should stop acting like one.

You're life in ffxi had ended, Go on with your life.

And I never think of you as a good crafter, asked you once to craft me something, you never did and you log out on me
 
First before someone gets the wrong idea: I don't agree with RMT actions. I don't believe that one POL ToS agreement violation weighs more than another violation. They are all the same and warrant the same punishment in some cases.

That being said, I think a lot of people are "talking pretty" in this thread. Moral values are moral values and what's done is done. There's really no point in arguing about what happened. Deep in your conscience you know most of you have violated at least 1 or 2 sections of POL's user agreement. Myself included. If everyone here followed that reasoning of turning in people that they knew where violating rules, I bet 90% of the server would be on our lists and this game would be a very lonely place. This thread also shows that RMT actions has another effect on this game: "Divide and counquer".

They trusted you enough to tell you that they were selling gil, probably because they thought you were their friend. If friendship is so shallow that selling gil in a game terminates any kind of bond that you have with anyone, that's a shame.

...Seriously? A lot of people who quit still come here. Why? Because this board hasn't been all about FFXI for a while now. There are other forums on this site to take part in that have nothing to do with FFXI.
