SAT scores.

What the hell? Is this a "please let me prove how smart I am or how big my balls are" thread?

I mean, no offense...I never took the SAT's, but even if I had - I don't think I would compare my score with others. That's just me, I guess.
 
I sort of agree with ya there Jen, I took the PSAT's, not the actual SAT's, but still...I wouldn't compare my scores with others. But, to each their own. I say let'em have fun ^_^.
 
They asked I will post. IQ tests, SAT's is not a real show of your intelligence. It has been proven that standardized tests aren't fair to all that take it. Some people that excel at standardized tests would do horribly at essay, ect. I don't find myself "better" because of a higher number. I don't take pride in my past. For as smart as these tests tell me I am I must be an underachiever.

Personally I am a horrible speller but if you give me a multiple choice test I can pick out the right one. If you had a teacher saying #1 spell <insert word> I would fail it or at least do poorly every time.
 
I've often found that you can't really tell anything about a person's character based on what score they got on some stupid test they were forced to take in high school. Also, at my job, NOBODY cares what I got on my SAT (myself included).
 
A lot of colleges are moving away from standardized tests, due to it limits access to education, and looking more at High School GPAs and class history, as well as accepting other forms of standardized tests.

Jen, as for my Ball size, I need some help measuring please. lol :twisted:
 
SAT uh crap that was a long time ago I cant remember.

I did get a 166 on my LSAT, and I only remember that because I beat my cocky ass roomates score and rubed it in his face for the next month.

I took the SAT's, got a 1060. Damn I feel dumb now... :(
 
In Canada we don't have them...the closest thing we have would be the P.E ----> Provincial Exams...You take Math and Engilsh in grade 8 then take more advanced ones in grade 10. The grade 10 Math PE is a viscious beast with the most horrible teeth. I only scored 70% on it...and that took 1 whole year of prep. English was a joke. I smacked a 97% on that and got into the International Baccalaureate program for english ^^.

Shame I quit the arts after 1 year an took up computer science.*joke*

naw pup, SATs don't mean chit. There were ppl obviously way more intelligent than I was, and they scored lower, then I remember exactly one of my closest friends (who wasn't as bright) score a 1530 =\.

SAT simply tests if you can stay awake during something so boring =/
