I can't get the new way of saving macros server-side to work; has anyone else successfully done it?

If not, can anyone tell me where the file is on my PC, so that i can copy and paste it to my other one?

Thanks

Very simple to do on the PC side. Simply go into your ffxi folder (for example: C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI) and copy the USER folder to a flash key or something. Then on the other computer, simply copy the folder from the flash key and paste/overwrite the old USER folder there. In doing so, you will overwrite the old settings, so if there's another account on the new computer, copy and paste the individual folders inside the USER folder.

Here is a quick and dirty image showing how:

Also, the USER folder will contain all your accounts settings, like colours, effect and chat filters, map markers etc. Always nice to save those once and awhile.

Hope that helps.
Cheers

Oh, off topic (sorry, just thought of it), does anyone know what font my sig uses? I had to format my drive, forgot to back the font folder up, and can't find the font anywhere ;_; It's my favourite too, as it's similar to my handwriting.

The SE saving version works pretty fine for me, only thing is you can only save one... so if you have mre than 1 character you need to save and load one char first and then do the same with the other one

How does one save macros server-side? I know how to save them client-side, but I'd like to move my macros from my PC to my PS3 now that I have the game installed there.

Highlight your char in char select screen and press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+B then click save.

To load do the same but press R instead of B.

Thanks. I thought that just saved them locally, but it seems I was mistaken.

Can't be bothered to make a new thread so i'll put it here as it's macro related.

Ok so my SCH is 37 atm and i'm pretty much full with macros (1 ALT and CTRL line for Dark Arts and 1 ALT and CTRL line for Light Arts). Now I was wondering if there's a way I can make a macro, say CTRL+8 load other macros from different sets. So say CTRL+8 was Blizz4 for example could I have inside that macro a command that loads a macro from another set that has gear changes in it? Or is the only way to be able to do more than 6 lines of macro in 1 push to use windower macros?

Sorry if I haven't explained it very well.

No, theres no way to trigger one macro with another. There is a /macro command, but that's just to switch between macro books and sets.

...... that's so retarded. So now I have 10000000000 macros but have to arse about swapping sets etc. I think i'll have to learn these windower macros.

Ok so say you're on your SCH macros, macro set 4 using CTRL+8, first line
/ma "Blizzard IV" <t>
second line would be
/macro set 3
which would then switch to the macro set above, keep it CTRL+8 starting this macro do equip swaps
then at end
/macro set 4
to switch back to original set
It's not windower macros, but you could hit it twice to do equip swaps and jump back to original set.

True, but at the same time, I could easily see someone not thinking ahead (or just not too bright to begin with) setting up 2 macros to trigger each other and ending up in a infinite loop.
