Most firefighter schedules rotate two day shifts, two night shifts and then four days off. If they only ran at night (or during the day, or whatever) he would have only been missing two days a week, rotating a day off every week.

So if they were heavily involved on the weekends, it would take something like 2 months before his weekends were clogged with dayshifts/nightshifts.

Firefighter work hours are awesome.

This is correct, also depending on your captain sometimes you can play at work between calls. I love my field of work =P

A. Because what he said made sense. Having a kid is an excuse not to raid but it is not an excuse to think you deserve gear just because you were away for a valid reason.

B. It is on topic, read the OP. Either Kriist was away a lot because of his job and thought he still deserved the gear, or Melfie thought he deserved gear he wasn't entitled to.
