People can be overweight and cosplay and such; doesnt mean we have to find it attractive lol.

no you don't have to find it attractive, you can keep your mouths shut easily instead Unless you are perfect specimen of a human, you shouldn't say a damn thing.

I really don't see the point of the cosplay anyway. Dressing up like a cartoon character i really don't get it. I watch anime and play FF games but you won't seeme out there looking like cloud now. And seeing an overwieght Yuna i think that my theary that humanity's intellagence is dropping at a fenominal rate, the grocery store i work at helped me figure that out as well.

I was introduced to Bleach as well, both Vivi and Sos say it's awesome, and even claim it destroys Naruto :shock: . I'll be absorbing that in the next few weeks. Also, if you haven't seen it, I'd sugest you see Tenjou Tenge(or however they're spelling it in america.) It's an awesome anime^^

Cosplay is fun because it gives you a chance to be creative and inventive. Seeing what things are possible in real life, and most people that cosplay, are talented in art, or clothes making.

I've cosplayed before, and I will continue to because I enjoy it. Hard to explain why people cosplay until you actually try it yourself. It's a little like Halloween too I guess.

Most people who cosplay at conventions regularly, become a bit like celebrities. If I were to mention the "Jewish Wolfwood" I'm sure a few people who attended Otakon would know who I'm talking about.

I guess in short, Cosplay is it's own form of art.

Cosplay is more than just the dressing up. Most of those people made their own costumes, sinking hours of work into them, they're proud of that accomplishment and want to show it off.

And those of you who would scoff at someone spending hours designing and creating a costume for a convention, let me ask this: how many hours have you spent accomplishing goals in FFXI? Is what you've done in-game any better (or more worthwhile) than what these cosplayers have done? Both are a fun hobby, and just because your leisure activities are different doesn't make them any better.

I've done cosplay once, for the Wheel of Time track at Dragon*Con. I would do it again, if I actually had the money to go to said con and get the materials I needed. Oh, and my own sewing machine- having to borrow from friends and family sucks.

hehe I've already seen Tenjou Tenge its a great manga too. The manga has more story detail than the anime.
