Scheduled Lags while on FFXI

I was just curious to post this because I have been dealing with this problem for a long time with FFXI on the PC version, but...

Does anyone, other than myself, get scheduled lag times that get so out of hand to the point where you need to restart?

My situation only happens while I'm on FFXI.
And it seems like at 9pm, the Gates of Lag open their doors to me and the Infamous Lag Lord pawns my computer. lol

If I leave it be, the game becomes unplayable and unbearable. It also lasts for about an hour. By 10pm I'm in the clear.

But if I'm really up to something..I say screw it, and just do a hard reboot which always pawns the Lag Lord in return.

I've reimaged my computer in the past before. All is good with it.
I just find it odd that its always at that "specific hour...specific lag time..on the same specific lag channel" :-O (Bat-Man!! )

But on the real, anyone get it at a specific time? How did you remedy your situation? Or do you just blast it away with a reboot like myself?

It sounds like a system update to me. I have not experienced it, but I know that at work ever three hours they update the system, lagging the hell out of our comps.

Sounds sorta like what I used to deal with, except the time frame for me used to be really large, i'd be playing friday night it would hit midnight and BAM!! i'd get d/c'd... then from then on until sunday i would get d/c'd like every 1, 4 hours, it was really random sometimes it was every 5 min... I played around with some ports for a while and everything cleared up.
