Scorpion Harness I Loathe Thee

ok, so i've been farming and crafting and saving up for my scorpion harness since im almost Lv57 Ninja/Warrior. the stats on this thing are just too nice to not get one, but wtf, its one of the ugliest pieces of gear in game. as a galka im afraid im going to look like a big red fire truck in this thing. are there any red scorpions in game even? seriously, this should be like brown or black. i think SE should implement an armor dye/painting system where you could pay to alter the color of your equipment, i think this would help take some of the excess gil out of the system while allowing people greater freedom in making their character their very own, or just not looking like a complete goon

except for tarus maybe, but only because they are so cute and do backflips
 
Galka are cool.. but FAR from fashionesque.. You chose a big tough brute, not a pretty princess. :p Plus, fire trucks are cool :D

Optical hats look rediculous. Anybody who says otherwise.... well let's just not go there.

Assault Jerkin looks retarded.

Byrnie looks like an orange creamcicle.

Most mages robes look like dresses.

Brigandine? Go go Orange and white checkerboard!

And c'mon... subligar of any sort is just wrong.



Honestly, compared to the rest of this stuff... the SH isn't all that bad looking.

o hat look nice with sertain armor

assa jerkin ya that dont look that good bynie look nice on mid size char like elve or mithra.

robes are pretty much dresses blain the mid evil days for that

brigardine is a nice change from alot the armor that people wear around pre 45.

subligar are just wrong.

Dude, SH is like one the sexiest piece of gear. I run around with it on as WAR becuase its just so damn hot.
 
Optical Hats ONLY look good on Tarutarus (any of those pointy hats, infact. In my opinion) ...

I hate the fact that as an end game piece of equip, they give us some pointy and witchy hat. Wearing THAT with all your cool God/Relic/Cursed gear just don't cut it, as good as the stats are. It gets silly when you're fighting some big huge dragon (lets say, Vrtra) and you're going head-to-head against it with a pointy hat ... :shok: ... I'd prefer the Pumpkin Hat anyway ...

The Bone/Beetle subligar is good though. Least I don't feel silly running around in it. Maybe the Carapace Subligar uses the same model set. I'm not sure, I ain't brought it before.

I dread the Assault Jerkin, which I will have to get soon ........ :wacko:
 
There is a very important reason for hats like Optical Hat, Tactician Magicians Hat and the like. The are aerodynamic, and lead to a tip.... TARUTARU-DART GAMES! You just pick up a taru wearing one of these hats and see who can make one stick in the wall! These hats are just the ticket to make it work. Tarutaru-dart games are exactly whats needed in long farming sessions.

I think the whole reason I started leveling other jobs was to get a chance to try out new armor. After I got RDM AF and played with some different combinations, I started planning on getting WAR AF. But...I dunno...I like the SH look. I just wish I could afford one.

Galka is ugly in everything.
Start over and do it right.
 
I think Bison looks awesome. Too bad 71BST is a long road for me..

But yeh, it's already been said - not much suits Galka. maybe DRK and PLD stuff..

Galka is awesome for so many reasons.

1) you can only feel really safe with a galka tanking.
2) No galka ever get the job trait stealth, the mob sees him all too well but pretends not to out of fear and good sense.
3) When the galka thief SATA's the mob knows who it was, it just goes along with what the galka want for fear of breaking a hand on the galka.
4) When the galka whm gets bored in exp he can jump in and show the rest of ya how to tank.
5) Galka don't tend to be mindless like elvaan males who hit on everything that moves.
6) If galka ran the endgame we wouldn't have these problems. think of your endgame shell's galka members and face the fact they're the among nicest people in there.
7) Galka survive bomb tosses.
8) Galka can look intimidating in anything. yes, jse subligar included.
9) Intimidate only really works for galka, the rest is SE's pity.
10) You can safely assume the gender of a galka's player. Mithra are 80% guys, 10% chicks and 10% guys who pretend they're chicks to manipulate guys.
11) there are more than 3 galka faces are used in the game. the same does not apply to any other race.
12) if a galka dragoon jumps you the damage is justified.
13) if the bald galka with the mustache mugs you in ballista, you feel justified in handing over the petras.

i'd keep thinking of more but ballista is starting... 60 cap jugner. mage get screwed at ballista. glad i'm a galka monk.

I love all galkas in this game. In my personal expirence, skill wise, I've found galkas make the best mages :D they are very mp considerate, well they kinda half too be and make the most adorable looks in mage AF. You just wanna hug and squeeze them :D!!

lol it drives me insane when a guy plays a female character like a mithra ~_~; then gets mad when I assume he's a girl to start :O! I feel bad for my one friend.. I thought he was a chick for a year :\

I've had dune parties that only pulled through because we had galka tank. Gotta love that HP and VIT :D!
