Personally.. I would like to keep it for myself since it was advertised that way... but.. me being me, I guess I would just return the Harness and be really really really sad about the lost deal.

I didn't know he was the player who accepted this...even helped him get his Minstrals Coat for Bard. I've lost a lot of respect for this guy. He is dead set on not returning it.

Could you care to elaborate of how Hiri could have confused 110 with 1110? I need some help explaining this to Trancos.

Trancos or w/e did no wrong. He saw an ad for 1.1 mil scp harness, offered 1.1 mil for scp harness, and the transaction was sealed by both parties involved for 1.1 mil harness.

I don't see how there's any room for "oh was this person screwed over?" or "I would've given back gils" or any of that bs argument as this whole situation can be summed up in one word: Dumbass.

Let's face it people don't play games because they don't have a life... sometimes they play it because they just want something other than real life which is not always what you want it to be.

So now in this fantasy world you wanna have fun and acquire everything you can that you couldn't in real life.Like ever since my friend died my grades went to shit n all i did was play FFXI... cuz i think it took my mind off from stuff more than alcohol ever could.

That said, I still believe that if the SH and money was THAT dear to you, you really shouldn't have been so careless with it. That's exactly what it was that cost him that money and time... not a mean player, not a greedy player.... it was simple carelessness. In another time and place he may have gotten his money back, but this time, his carelessness cost him.

Ok, i didnt read this whole thread but to me, it goes without saying that if you have 1.1 mil then you probably know what a SH goes for in this game. The person had to KNOW that it was an error in the price it was listed for. So it boils down to the person taking advantage of the mistake to his own benefit. I've had people buy my stuff from AH at say 10,000 accidently when they meant to bid 1,000 and I gave them back the difference. It's all about your character. And the buyer showed his (lack thereof)

Not neccessarily. I've seen some people when they are quitting or whatever sell stuff at extreme reduced rates, and at first the buyer may have thought he was in the right place at the right time.

Of course, when Anntaru and his friend started asking for it back... and his Jp friend started telling Lower Jeuno that he STOLE it, he may have put two and two together.

I think when I said it's a done deal earlier in the thread it didn't tell the whole story. It is a done deal!

One trades an item for a certain price, regardless of the circumstances, they they can't get their price right, then the only way they will potentially learn is from their mistakes.

My issue is that the seller has no right to demand that the item will be returned. It is totally wrong for people to say the buyer stole the item. The buyer trade give the item back, but he doesn't have to. The buyer did nothing wrong!

i dont have a problem i just think its funny as hell that people compare rl morals with in game morals.

I think it's sad that some people differentiate the two.
A persons morals are a persons morals, you are in game who you are in real life, or you are in real life who you are in game, or at least some subset of either. No one will be able to ever convince me that people who are assholes in game are great guys in real life.

personally i would give it back, only because i've gotten things back after making similar mistakes(being overbid, or comma mistakes), but i think that it is his fault.
it would be nice to get it back but its not mandatory, and i cant tell anyone what to do...
