I totally get the exploring places I shouldn't be thing. Infact.. ended up dying a few times Friday because of that.. Was worth it though.

I chose the Flame Grand Company. I really liked the feel of Ul'dah.
 
Ul'dah was nice, I started there in P3 since I started as a Thm. Definitely has a feel of a mixture of Jueno and Bastok. It's neat, but man, when I went to Limsa again at the lvl 15 story quest I knew I was home again. lol
 
Oddly enough, I didn't really like Limsa. Maybe it was just the Galka lady leader that threw me off lol

That's actually a normal, natural reaction. Ul'dah and Limsa have a similar rivalry to the San d'Oria vs Bastok thing back in XI. Gridania is equivalent to Winudrst in the fact that...yea, they exist, but only those few people actually have enough pride to care.

Your affinity for Ul'dah automatically infuses you with disdain for Limsa. :D

wow, some really impressive scenery. havn't explored all that much yet in the beta. trying not to do to much before launch.


Where do those neat little pets come from? seen the bomb and a lil chocobo and a pup looking pet, no idea where they are from tho. some quest?

They can be bought in each city from a vendor, though.. I couldn't locate the one in Limsa. I don't think I was truly trying hard enough. The ones in Gridania and Uldah are kind of in the center of the map sorta, in the zones that you start in. Gridania has an npc in a vendor tent and Uldahs is right before you get to that dancing trio of miqote. I don't have the game up right now to give the names of the areas, sorry.

also they changed all the stats on the NM dropped and crafted gear from pre ARR Kinda neat but also kinda ticks me off, I never should have sold my silver tricorn >:(
