Most of the monk gear SS's don't count since they are town shots. Town shots don't mean shit I wear w/e im in the mood for in town.

Majority of the SS's are/have been confirmed by the people who posted them that the players who they were taken of are complete idiots, as you can tell. Though we'll never really know for sure since we're not there to confirm it ourselves; I'll take their word for the most part, taking into consideration that there is a good 116 pages full of these screen shots.

I hardly think a purple belt on a 75 Monk constitutes as 'town gear' because sadly I've seen a lot of pretty pathetically geared monks on our server as well(Yes that includes a purple belt on a 60+ Monk). I just play on(And will continue to play on, so I don't want to hear any bitching from the PC nazis) PS2 so I will not be posting any SS's of people's gear that I've personally seen.

Just take a good look around you though. I'm sure you're bound to find some BB Monk with some retarded gear in at least one of their equipment slots, it's really quite common.
 
Oh I fully agree with that statement that most of the people you see are retarded...but there are the exceptions like people who may be coming back from some capped BCNM that requires minimal gear if at all.

To make things worse, the one with the Mnk subbing Drk and shura kote(The one I considered to be among the worst) is what the guy full-times according to the poster. Here's a couple of responses to his post and his reply to those as well.

He has a Maat's cap. Why the fuck does he not have a black belt?
And lol at his SAM gear as well. I don't have osode or Maat cap and my +str is higher than his. Talk about being too lazy to mule gear. (Also, what the fuck? Master caster bow as /THF?)

Yeah, it's a shame he has such good gear for some of his jobs yet he knows nothing about how to play them correctly. The guy is a fucking joke.

I don't know why you guys are bashing Lyle. I've learned so much from his WHM. If I sub BLM, it "grants useful tools like escape and haste to the party, as well as tractor in case one dies in a bad spot." Also, if it wasn't for him, my BLM would suffer because I'd never know that /SMN "is also good for the extra bit of MP pool and refresh, though it is only for cases you know you arn't neaded for aux. cure."

Silly me for thinking I need more than one gearset for blm... Without Lyle I would still be running around with a near full inventory.

Also NIN. I had no idea Provoke benefited from Haste. Thank you Lyle for pointing that one out to help me be better. Not to mention, what was I thinking having my TP gear containing more acc+att??? Obviously a great NIN TPs in eva torque, boxer mantle, ungur boomerang, and Yasha Tekko. I wonder why no one has called out all the lolNINs not running around in merit pts in an evasion TP build.

In all seriousness though, I like this guy's LJ. He makes me feel smart.

I was gonna say his drk was really beefy, and for the most part it is really well geared, but then i saw his heca +1 feet paired with his C. Chain.
