Speaking of which, I invited a lv23 PLD to my group today (was leveling BLM), and the first thing he says in Party chat is: "can i have 1k gil?"

He had a lv9 sword, to boot.

Just thought Id throw that out there.

My guess is that that damn taru mafia kidnapped his parents and are forcing him to pay ransom; he had to sell everything and was just getting invites to raise money.... damn the cute tarus and their crime ring!

o and keits.. about your last post on the paladin? whatd that got to do with this? a poor player that is an idiot and depends on the generousity(which there is next to none) of others to eat his bread. do not compare me or any of the other good players on the board to him. not every player is good... or knows what to do.. and at that point.. you might want to find a new party. but look at asiamise shes trying to be the BEST she can possibly be by trying to get her kotes... thats not so simple eh?

I, personally, would rather read two people insulting eachother back and forth, than read a quote of a post, then an elaborate "I agree".

The PLD in my party was booted after 3 fights, btw. We replaced him with a 23WAR/9MNK (grrr) that was better equiped, but still not that great.

Even though it may be the same thing by 12 or 13 more people, it shows a lot more input from MORE people than if the same two people were going at it.

It's a topic EVERYONE wants to say something (even though they might just be agreeing), instead of two people dominating and just having a conversation. You know what that would be equivalent in real life? Two loud people in a cafe talking at the top of their lungs while the people around them just watch. They could say something but they really have no reason to join in. This thread seemed to interest more people and therefore more people are either supporting one side or the other, or just trying to put in some original input.

So if someone agrees with someone's post, what would you suggest they do? Just reword it in their own words and then someone could just criticize "You're just saying the same thing, but in different words?"

Maybe that seems a bit harsh. I used to call people Nazi myself, and someone pointed these facts out to me, and I felt really bad about it. I try to tell people this when I hear it. It is very black comedy and was inteded to be. It was also written by a Jew, Mel Brooks. You mentioned the "Soup Nazi" episode. That was written in part by Larry David (a Jew) and performed in by Jerry Seinfeld (a Jew). These are legitimate because it is making light of a situatiuon, even a terrible one like the Holocaust. Its the theory: "if you aren't laughing, you're crying". Calling someone a nazi for doing something that you deem borderline facist is a terrible thing to do.

So, what your saying, is that, its ok for 12 or 13 people to say the same thing to flame one person, but if two people get into a war about flames then it is teh suxors? Granted, roofies posts are less than intelligable, I just don't think that 13 people reiterating THE EXACT SAME thing is necessary. I don't really see how that's any different than 2 people throwing mud at each other really. But maybe that's just me.

And by extension, that means I know where those other 12 or 13 people stand on that issue, even if it's for the same arguments as mine, or slightly different ones. Same goes for people presenting arguments against me. Even if it's the same argument, I know who doesn't believe in the same things I do and why they don't. Thus I get to know different people better! It's the more social aspect of participating in message boards.

Now I myself am tired of always having to rephrase all that damn stuff in the hope it's getting a bit more clarified each time. Ironic, isn't it? All that because it seems I couldn't get my point of view across the previous times. Feel free to have the last word/laugh/whatever, my posts are starting to get old.
