Scythe choices

Shit is situational. Depending on what you're doing and who you're doing it with, any scythe could outperform any other scythe.

For the record (with 8/8 scythe and abyssal), I generally prefer perdu with rajas and divisor ring for tp and a str ring for ws.

This statement alone ends any "which (non-relic) Scythe is best" debates.

WS+SE: (ring, N head/AF+1, weapon)
Moliones's - 5 acc, 18 STR, 5 DEX, 95 DMG, 501 delay, 11.38 DPS
Perdu - 10 acc, 14 attack, 7STR, 93 DMG, 501 delay, 11.14 DPS
Death+1 - 5 acc, 7STR, 98 DMG, 513 delay, 11.46 DPS

This is incredibly skewed towards Moli's lol, this is a souleater set. I don't think anyone will disagree that Moli's would be better on souleater WSs...but I would think the large majority of ones WSs are not using Souleater.

This is the comparison that matters, assuming you have access to N head, in which case you would use it regardless of the weapon.

Moli - 5 acc, 7 STR, 95 Base dmg
Perdu - 5 acc, 14 attack, 5 STR, 93 base dmg

So its 2 STR +2 Base dmg vs. 14 Attack for the large majority of your WS.

I have used Oricalcum,Death+1, Perdu, Moliones, tred. I prefer Perdu+Ulthalum.

Someone posted about Vendetta earlier in the thread. I would say its only really an option for drks with no Abyssal earring. Any drks that have Abyssal should be using that and Brutal Earring.

And if you don't have Brutal Earring...well, any damage dealer should work on getting that.

I prefer Perdu+Ulthalum.

Best set for drk. And its been debated so many god damn times. Moliones is only better when doing a souleater ws with heca cap. If you dont have heca and use af +1, moli is never better. If you don't have an apoc, I know none of you have capped acc, not when using meat.

There's always gotta be one who has to say "BEST SET FOR LYFE:dur:"

When it's already been established, many times over, that

It comes down to play style, gear loadout, and stats that one is compensating.

TG is right with his main idea of gear and play style.

Things are always situational, and i agree the rest of your gear has an impact
[. . .]
Edit: I think Molione's would pull ahead if acc capped.

And much laughter for reading comprehension.

Apocalypse taken entirely out of the debate, since it is by far the best overall.

People want a single answer, not "shit is situation"; otherwise, they wouldn't bother asking.

Capped on what?

Perdu/Pole/x/Bomblet
Ace's/PCC/Brutal/Abyssal
Haub/Homam/Sniper/Rajas
Amemet+1/Swift/Homam/Homam

That set with 8 scythe merits, which i don't think is out of reach for most, will give you 94% accuracy against Greater Colibri. The hardest item to obtain IMO would be the Ace's helm, which can be bought for 3M or replaced with Askar for only a 2% drop in accuracy. Once you consider Sniper's Ring +1, Haubergeon +1 and Relic cape i don't think it's unreasonable to expect to cap, especially if you max out Diabolic eye.

The additional accuracy on Perdu is what attracts me to it, because especially when you don't have entirely HQ gear it still allows you to maintain a high hit rate while eating meat.

I know G.Colibri is not the whole game, but there's many events where some if not all of the mobs will have lower evasion than merit mobs.

Edit: what it seems to come down to, is that if your gear is less than exceptional Perdu will benefit you the most, while when your gear gets to a "HQ" point, Molione's would be better, however in that situation DS+1 would actually be even better. So Molione's is a waste of time imo.

But shit IS situational. There is no single answer unless you have relic.

Sorry to cut in, but it would actually be 91% for the first set you posted. This is including capped merits, the additional boost in skill you get from the Abyssal Earring and the +5 accuracy you receive from Perdu, and not including Hasso, accuracy from food, or Diabolic eye. Still a very good accuracy rating without a doubt and not off by much, but just a minor correction.

With HQ Hauby, Sniper's ring, and an Abyss cape you should be capped on accuracy even without Diabolic eye.

I want a check for a million dollars to be left on my doorstep tonight. Now the op won't be the only one who's disappointed.

Where did you get this info from? it came to 94% using this:

That's exactly what I used. I'll go over everything to make sure I didn't miss something.

Edit: Actually without even going over my info, I can tell you what the error is. What race did you use for when you put in your info?

He's a galka, so his starting stats would be based on those of a galka plus whatever if any merits he has.

I used 68 DEX which I think is what my 75 war has as Galka <_< but you're right drk could be lower, i didn't check

Which mob are you using? Colibri? WIsh that site had normal mamools that arent thf or nin <_<

I'm not 100% sure, but i'm fairly confident if you cap on Colibri you'll cap on all but NIN & THF Mamool.

Double post go, Lrn2multiquote etc.
