As much as I almost disagreed with Baj, that's actually a good idea. Gil is practical (Remember when you started wanting money instead of toys for your b-day?), meaningful (gil is a commodity, as not everyone has it. your willingness to part with it shows that you care more about them than your own greed), and effective (its a present, so they can do with it what they want. not like RL wedding presents where if you take them back ppl will be offended). Go gil. Its the gift that keeps on giving.

Or that hostel, like Demon said. Its only, what, 458 gil? And you get an hour to eat HQ sweets and regen/refresh drinks and play with fireworks. Either/or would work.

Off-Topic thought: SE needs to add alcohol and condoms. The latter would be under...leathercraft. Earth crystal, sheepskin 2x, slime oil.

Slime oil is the only witty thing I could think of that would qualify as a lubricant. Condoms - lubricant = OW!

But, back on topic.

If you just get them something really nice, like a piece of furniture or gear or something I'm sure they'd like it. Gifts = thought. Your gift shows how much thought and care you put into choosing it. If you have a craft lvled, make use of it. Sign something they can use (if possible). Something signed and crafted by you shows alot.
 
Trade items to get guild points. Then get a EX crystal after trading guild points for it. You gotta be at novice rank and have signed a contract with a guild first.

I've never done that downhill sledding in U.range but that might classify as a ski trip? This idea mostly depends on if theyre into roleplay or not.
Theres also That island on bibiki bay, a couple of secluded spots in the thickets, most outside COP areas have spots that would be romantic if they were real, Kazam is nice if you move to an area with low traffic.
The underground ruins would be an aquarium trip and noone enters em so Plenty of alone time.
Zih tah is nice music and beautiful treecuttings farmers goblins and swrms of the undead kinda ruin the mood though.
You could get them the items for those "love" quests(i cant remeber which ones they were) then have them finish the quests together. Just dont tell em what the items are for till they have them all so they can enjoy the quest without the long time farming items in betwen cutscenes to appreciate the romantic storyline.
They could also go to gustaberg and pretend theyre the last man and woman left after a nuclear apocalypse.( sorry i had to poke fun at bastok)

Ive never actually done the sledding part but i think its mentioned in the area description in the COP booklet.
I know it exists at least.

Nothing says class to a newlywed mog house like a rusty bucket.

Well since this game has no toasters (most weddings you recieve a few if you don't register for gifts someplace) get them something nice for their mog houses (The "Thinking of You" gift) such as a pretty plant, painting, or other such unique furnishing (stay away from things like cabinets and commodes, those are nice for extra space but not unique enough to make good "thinking of you" gifts) and an additional gift of some gil so they can enjoy themselves with it. =)
 
Rofl, I went with the typical table-wear set for the bride, and got a (lmao!) set of brooms for the groom. Rofl, its a joke gift, got em some nice dessert sweets for makeup of the joke gifts
 
Hmm. I wonder if there is a Ball and Chain in this game...
