Don't get me wrong, the AF1 body is great, but it only has advantages when you're actually enfeebling something. Fighting Kirin or other kited monsters, or main healing in particular, the speed at which you cast is way more important than a Skill that you're not using.
There are plenty of RDM strategies that use nuking as well. They aren't the typical group fights, (although Totentanz is an exception) but being able to nuke effectively adds another dimension to your abilities, and gives you more options to solo tough mobs.
The Enhancing on the AF2 gloves (and they are the weakest AF2 piece) still adds to your stoneskin which helps in Wyrm fights or ather times when you get beat up (although I still can't take 3 Wings from Tiamat on a single stoneskin....).

Eh.. I would prefer to use Zenith Body if I was curing for the refresh and more MP. Usually have plenty of mages around to cure as well so speed isn't problem really cause it's almost like a constant cure spam. Most of the time I did Kirin anyways the PLDs really knew what they were doing and didn't get hit so very much. Sometimes they get hit, of coarse, but not often. Most times they got hit was when they stopped for a WS + Burst and then they'd be off and RDMs in the alliance would try to keep the erased. And fighting Dragons and whatnot anyways right now isn't high on my list of things to do. Right now I wanna focus on merits, crafting, and CoP missions. I know AF2 has its advantages but I haven't had much need of them. Plenty of mages around to take care of cure speed. I don't generally take much damage and I can get stoneskin + phalanx back up fast enough if needed and MP wasn't much of a problem. I also figure if you get enfeebling on and it works the best it can than you won't have as much need to worry about MP. A paralyze that works at its best will make almost every mob a pussy cat. Look at Fafnir. Paralyze on him and BAM. Fairly easy fight it seems. Silence on mobs that cast (and not kited cause long casts give time for a PLD to rest and get hate with a cure or provoke or something) can make them also babies. You get my point 
I figure I'll focus on Enfeebling+ and INT/MND first. After that it'll prolly be more cure gear that I can get my hands on. I just don't have any care on AF2 other than hat at the moment and so I was just agreeing with your original point. If you don't want it.. don't lot on it ^^

You're right.. you do steal more coins than I buy for 5k. Cause I can prolly get like 10 coins a weak for 3k or maybe even given for free where you barely steal 5. I have FRIENDS!!! (you know.. people that don't mind helping you out cause you help them out and you have common interests and whatnot) that are willing to sell for that price. You think I am stealing from them gil (an unimportant easy to acquire elsewhere factor of the game) when in fact they don't see it like that. They don't care that they could sell it for more than they did to me. They care that they are helping out someone in the game that they like. And you know what? I seriously doubt people actually give you coins for 10k. What do you do, cyber for it to make up the difference? You're certainly not worth it from the looks of you. No posting talent.
