Well, I upgraded to Windows Vista yesterday, and (of course) when I logged on for Dynamis, I experienced multiple crashes, and eventualy gave up for the night.

Now I am unbelievably pissed, and could really care less about that "Virtual Windows" stuff, because I may just see a golden opportunity laying before me.

This is the perfect opportunity for me to quit this time sink. I don't have the stomach to do it right now, as I can still play on PS2 (with fugly graphics after playing the last year on a NVIDIA 6800 GT), but the longer SE takes to resolve its compatibility issues, the less and less I will play, and eventually I will sell my belongings, give the gil to my brother and quit.

Some of you know me, but most of you only see me, but don't know me from the level 30 RMT with no sub that got banned last week. Honestly I don't care now. It's been a fun time playing this game, and I have made some good freinds on here. However, this game has its fill of elitist fucktard liberal teenagers/young adults who thing they are king shit and haven't so much as de-attched from mommys left tit yet, let alone experienced what life is really like in the real world.

So, should this compatibility issue continue long enough for me to find the intestinal fortitude to call SE and tell them where to shove this waste of life they call a video game, I bid you all farewell. And dont bother wishing me luck in the real world. I had a life before this game, while I played it, and I am looking foreward to reclaiming the life I had before should this issue persist.

Actually, no where in your post do you say you knew it wouldn't work, just that you can still play on PS2 despite it not working. Learn to type what you want read, retard. A lot of companies are having problems with Vista, last I checked(which was months ago,) Steam didn't work on it either.

I have Vista Ultimate running on my PC now and I'm not having any issues with it. However when I first installed it, Vista did crash when I tried to change my background XD but after I ran Windows Update FFXI has not crashed not one time since I've used it. I know this OS takes up alot of RAM and Video card memory as well.

Took the risk. It just turned out not to work for me. Yes I'm upset it didn't work, but I have been looking for an excuse to quit for a while now so that I can get on with my life. I'm 28 years old and I have a family and a career to attend to.
